The Banana Ball Open returns to ESPN Wide World of Sports April 15 to 18, 2027

The Banana Ball Open is coming back to ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World from April 15 to 18, 2027, the second straight year Banana Ball has played there. All six Banana Ball teams will attend and four will compete. Seats go through a ticket lottery list that closes at 11:50 p.m. Eastern on October 31, and joining it does not guarantee a chance to buy.

Banana Ball, the version of baseball created by the Savannah Bananas, is coming back to Walt Disney World. The Banana Ball Open will be played at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex from April 15 to 18, 2027, and fans who want seats have until Halloween night to join the ticket lottery.

How the 2027 dates came out

Banana Ball revealed its 2027 schedule on a live broadcast, and the complex at Walt Disney World is on it again.

Disney Parks announced the Open in the video above, with a pun in the caption: "We're peel-y excited to share that the Banana Ball Open is coming to ESPN Wide World of Sports April 2027."

Six teams on site, four on the field

Every team on the Banana Ball tour is expected at the complex, but only part of the lineup will play in the Open.

Seats go by lottery, and the list closes October 31

The only route to seats that Disney describes is a lottery list, and a place on it is a chance to buy.

Our take. Disney's post gives no date for the drawing beyond "before the event," so anyone hoping to build a spring 2027 Walt Disney World trip around the Open should join the list by October 31 and keep flights and hotel bookings refundable until they know whether they can buy seats.
