This page describes how GenieGrove produces what you read here: where our information comes from, how articles are written and checked, what we do with AI, and how to reach us when we get something wrong. If anything below does not match your experience of the site, we would rather hear about it than have you guess.
Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Line, and nothing else. That means the four theme parks, the two water parks, Disney Springs, the resort hotels, and the ships. We do not cover Disneyland Resort, the international parks, or Disney's film, streaming, and corporate business. The scope is enforced in software rather than by habit: an article with no Walt Disney World or Disney Cruise Line signal is rejected before it can be published, and every rejection is logged.
Disney's own channels come first. Most of what we report originates with the Disney Parks Blog, the Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Line websites, and Disney's official announcements. When a story breaks somewhere else, we source it to the outlet that reported it, by name.
Every article that derives from another publication carries a link to that original, labelled "Originally reported by" with the outlet named. If you want the source reporting, it is one click away, and we would rather you read it than not.
We use AI assistance to draft articles. A draft is produced from the source material, then a person reviews it before anything appears on the site. This is not a formality in our workflow: articles are created with a draft status and are invisible to readers until a human approves them, so nothing reaches the site unreviewed.
What we ask of that process is accuracy over volume. We do not claim firsthand attendance at events we did not attend, we do not invent quotes, and we do not present another outlet's reporting as our own eyewitness account. Where an article is a rewrite of someone else's reporting, the source link says so.
Articles are bylined GenieGrove. We are the publisher and we take responsibility for what is here. We do not publish under the names of reporters who do not work for us — if you see a real journalist's name on this site, that is a bug, and we want to know about it.
Our wait times, crowd figures, and price tracking are our own work rather than a licensed feed. We poll the posted standby wait for every operating attraction throughout each park's operating day and keep the readings, which is what the hourly and day-of-week averages on our park pages are computed from. The posted wait is Disney's own rounded estimate rather than a stopwatch measurement, and we say so on the pages that use it.
Hotel and cruise prices are collected the same way, on a schedule, and shown with the date they were captured. Prices move; a figure we captured yesterday is a record of yesterday, not a quote for today.
If something here is wrong, tell us and we will fix it. Factual errors are corrected in the article itself. When a correction changes the substance of a story rather than a typo, we say what changed. You can reach us through our contact page.
