I go to Walt Disney World and sail Disney Cruise Line with my family at least once a year. GenieGrove began as the thing I kept looking for and never found: something to watch resort prices for me, manage Lightning Lanes while I was in the park, and work out when to go and what order to ride in. An assistant, not another blog. Nothing out there did it well, so I built one.
I write the news here, and I built what sits under it: the collector recording ride waits around the clock, the price tracker, and the planning tools. Every story on GenieGrove carries this byline, and when one quotes an average wait or a fare, that number came from data the site gathered itself.
Most of what GenieGrove publishes is news first reported elsewhere: by Disney's own channels, or by another outlet. Those stories are rewritten rather than reprinted, and each one names and links the sources it was built from, at the foot of the article. Our editorial policy sets out what that commits us to, and corrections and questions are welcome.
