Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT will play Earth, Wind and Fire's "September" on every ride on September 21, instead of drawing from its usual rotating soundtrack. Disney is pairing the date with Star-Lord meet and greets, a one-day-only Supernova Sip at Connections Café and Eatery, and a push toward the Treasures of Xandar shop at the ride's exit.

Key Details

Why September 21 means "September" on Cosmic Rewind

Cosmic Rewind opened at EPCOT in 2022 as an enclosed roller coaster with vehicles that spin to face the action, and each ride is set to one song picked from a short list of pop hits. Riders normally have no say in which one they get, which is part of the ride's appeal. "September," with its famous opening line about the 21st night of September, is one of those songs.

On September 21 the lottery is off. Disney says the track will play all day, so anyone riding that Monday is guaranteed the song.

Star-Lord meet and greets

Peter Quill, pilot of the Milano, is also on the schedule. Disney has not published set times for Star-Lord and directs guests to the character times in the My Disney Experience app on the day.

The Supernova Sip, September 21 only

Connections Café and Eatery will sell a new drink for this one day. The Supernova Sip mixes spicy hot honey syrup and lemon juice with edible glitter and is topped with orange cotton candy. A spirited version adds Maker's Mark Kentucky Straight Bourbon. Disney has not announced a price for either version.

Connections sits in World Celebration, the central area of the park between Spaceship Earth and World Showcase, a short walk from the Cosmic Rewind entrance.

Treasures of Xandar at the ride exit

For a souvenir, Disney points to Treasures of Xandar, the shop just outside the Cosmic Rewind exit. It is themed as a Xandarian trading post and sells Guardians of the Galaxy merchandise alongside in-story relics honoring the team. Disney's announcement does not mention any September 21 exclusives.

Fall ticket and room offers end October 3

Disney is attaching two current discounts to the date. Both close on October 3, 2026, twelve days after the celebration.
