What the package includes
The menu is described as an appetizer, traditional sashimi, an extensive selection of sushi, and a dessert and beverages available only with the package. Disney has not published the actual dish list, which is the part that decides whether this is good value or not: Shiki-Sai already sells sushi and sashimi at prices where a normal dinner for two can reach the same total without any fireworks attached.
Several conditions come attached. Reservations cannot be modified once confirmed. Luminous is not guaranteed as part of the experience, so a weather cancellation still means paying for dinner. Guests are told to confirm showtimes two weeks out and again on the day. Alcohol requires valid identification and the 21 and over rule applies as normal.
How it compares to the other two EPCOT packages
EPCOT already runs two Luminous dining packages, and both are consistently hard to book. Spice Road Table in the Morocco pavilion offers two small plates, a shared tagine, a dessert platter and unlimited beverages, priced around $97 per adult including tax and gratuity for August 2026 dates. Rose & Crown Dining Room in the United Kingdom pavilion runs a prix fixe menu of one appetizer, one entree, a dessert platter and unlimited beverages, at about $109 per adult for mid September dates. Both sit on covered outdoor patios with clear views over World Showcase Lagoon.
Shiki-Sai is priced above both, and it is the only one of the three that puts guests indoors on a second floor rather than at the water's edge. Prices for all three vary by date.
The view is the real question
The second level balcony outside Shiki-Sai has quietly become one of the best fireworks vantage points in EPCOT. It is elevated, it looks straight across the lagoon, and it used to be a photographers' corner that people could walk up to half an hour before showtime. That stopped being true a few years ago. The railing now fills up well over an hour in advance on busy nights.
Disney has not said whether the package includes access to that balcony or only a window table inside. The distinction matters a great deal, because the windows have that same walkway immediately outside them, which means a table view is not an unobstructed one. Roping off the balcony for package guests would make the price much easier to justify, and would simultaneously take away a free viewing spot that regulars have been camping out for. Roping it off without letting diners onto it would be the worst version for everyone.
There is an operational wrinkle too. The Japan pavilion restaurants are run by an operating participant rather than by Disney directly, so extending a dining package out onto a public walkway is not a decision one party makes alone.
Why Luminous changes the value calculation
Luminous: The Symphony of Us has been EPCOT's nighttime show since December 2023, replacing Harmonious and the interim EPCOT Forever. It uses barges, fountains and high level pyro, but unlike Harmonious it has no screens, which means there are no angles that hide part of the show. If a spot has a view of the sky and the water, it works.
That is the argument against every EPCOT fireworks package, and it is why this one is being debated rather than simply celebrated. Guests who bought the Candlelight Processional package know they are buying a guaranteed seat at a show that would otherwise cost them hours of queueing. A Luminous package buys a seat at a show that is comparatively easy to see from a dozen spots around World Showcase, some of which can be claimed ten minutes before showtime. What guests are paying for here is a table, air conditioning and dinner they would have wanted anyway, not scarcity.
