Rose & Crown Dining Room and Pub at EPCOT close January 11, 2027, with a permit running to June 29

Walt Disney World says the Rose & Crown Dining Room and Rose & Crown Pub in EPCOT's United Kingdom pavilion will close for planned maintenance starting January 11, 2027, and reopen later in 2027. A construction permit filed October 14 runs to June 29, 2027, which points to a closure lasting into summer.

Rose & Crown Dining Room and Rose & Crown Pub in the United Kingdom pavilion at EPCOT will close for planned maintenance starting January 11, 2027. Disney says both will reopen later in 2027, and a construction permit filed on October 14 runs to June 29, 2027.

Disney's Rose & Crown closure notice changed twice

The closure grew from a spring Dining Room refurbishment into a longer shutdown that includes the Pub.

• First notice. On October 6, Disney posted that the Dining Room alone would close from February 15, 2027 and reopen in spring 2027.
• Pub open then. That version named the Rose & Crown Pub and Yorkshire County Fish Shop as alternatives during the closure.
• Second notice. A day later, the start moved to January 11, 2027, the Pub was added, and the reopening became later in 2027.
• Brief removal. The warning then disappeared for a day before the January 11 version returned.
• Official page. Disney's Rose & Crown Dining Room page now carries the January 11 notice.

"Starting January 11, 2027, the Rose & Crown Dining Room and Rose & Crown Pub will be temporarily closed for planned maintenance. Both locations are expected to reopen later in 2027." (Walt Disney World's closure notice)

A permit filed October 14 runs to June 29, 2027

The construction permit suggests Disney expects the work to run into summer 2027.

• The filing. Walt Disney World Facility Asset Management filed a Notice of Commencement for an address that resolves to Rose & Crown.
• Who files. Facility Asset Management usually handles routine refurbishments and maintenance, while Imagineering takes on creative projects.
• The contractor. Gulf Coast Utility Constructors is listed, with a scope of general construction.
• Shorter term. The permit expires June 29, 2027, short of the default one year from filing.

A permit expiry is not a reopening date, and the work could finish earlier or later. A term set shorter than the default is a deliberate choice, though, and it points to Disney expecting the job to wrap up around the start of summer.

What Rose & Crown serves before January 11

Until the closure, the Dining Room serves British fare and the Pub pours British drinks.

• British fare. Specialties include fish and chips and bangers and mash, with sticky toffee pudding for dessert.
• Kids' menu. Children can order chicken, fish or macaroni and cheese entrees, each with two sides.
• Short menu. The Dining Room menu runs to two appetizers, four entrees and two desserts.
• Patio seats. Guests can dine inside or on the patio overlooking World Showcase Lagoon.
• The Pub. Behind frosted windows, the Pub serves British beers, ciders, scotches and signature cocktails.
• Book ahead. Disney highly recommends advance reservations for the Dining Room.

Yorkshire County Fish Shop is not on the closure list

The pavilion's fish and chips counter is missing from the January notice, so it should keep serving.

• Fish Shop. Yorkshire County Fish Shop, the United Kingdom pavilion's quick-service fish and chips counter, is left out of Disney's notice.
• Busy season. The closure will likely span Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents' Day and the 2027 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts.
• Last closure. Rose & Crown last closed from February 15 to March 20, 2021, reportedly for back-of-house kitchen work.

Our take. Book a Rose & Crown meal or stop for a pint on or before January 10, 2027; for a trip in the first half of 2027, plan on Yorkshire County Fish Shop instead.
