Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will open a new entrance on October 19, and it is very likely the resort's rebuilt main entrance coming back into use. The Buzz

Guests arriving by car have used a temporary entrance since September, so a return to the main gate changes the first minutes of a Grand Floridian arrival.

Why the Grand Floridian moved to a temporary entrance

The detour let crews rebuild the main entrance as part of a wider road project on Floridian Way.

Reopening the main entrance would put arrivals back at the gate guests already know, now tied into the new road layout.

Our take. If you arrive on or after October 19, follow the new signs rather than the route you used in September, and expect work around the covered entrance until early 2027.
