Party Guests Zero In on a New $24 Light-Up Halloween Balloon at Magic Kingdom
A new light-up balloon designed for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party 2026 went on sale along Main Street, U.S.A. for $24. One side shows Mickey and friends in Halloween costumes around a spooky Cinderella Castle, the other reads Trick or Treat, and unlike Magic Kingdom's standard balloons this one glows after dark.
Magic Kingdom's balloon vendors got a party-exclusive design for Halloween 2026, and it lights up. The new $24 balloon went on sale along Main Street, U.S.A. during the first Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party of the season on August 7, and it is the first party balloon at the event with a glow component built in.

What is printed on it
One side reads "Happy Halloween" in arched green lettering above a spooky treatment of Cinderella Castle. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Chip, Dale, Pluto and Figaro are gathered around the castle in Halloween costumes, with small bats, dark clouds and flying ghosts filling in around the scene.
The reverse side is Mickey on his own. "Trick or Treat" runs in large orange lettering around him as he holds out an orange treat bag, dressed in an orange and black costume, surrounded by wrapped candy and lollipops.
Why the light-up part matters
Magic Kingdom sells clear-shell balloons all day, every day, and they are one of the park's most photographed souvenirs. The party version keeps that construction but adds an internal light, which is a practical change more than a cosmetic one: the party runs from 7 p.m. to midnight, so most of the event happens in the dark and a standard balloon disappears in photos after sunset.
The balloon joins a party merchandise collection that runs heavily on orange, black and traditional Halloween colors, previewed by Disney earlier in the year.
What else is exclusive to party nights
Guests with a party ticket also get Mickey's Boo-To-You Halloween Parade, the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, attraction overlays, party-only character appearances and trick-or-treating across the park. Disney has also released a long list of party-exclusive food and drinks for 2026.
The Buzz
- Balloons are usually the least newsworthy thing at Magic Kingdom, so a party-exclusive design with a light in it stood out immediately.
