Key details

How the hunt works

Guests buy a game board and sticker sheet, then walk the park looking for decorative pumpkins hidden in the landscaping and along the walkways. Each pumpkin is themed to a different Disney character, and finding one earns the matching sticker for the board.

Completing the whole board is not required. Guests can turn in a partially filled board at Creations Shop, Disney Traders, Gateway Gifts or World Traveler and still collect a prize. Each board earns exactly one festival keepsake, redemption runs through November 2, 2026 or while supplies last, and guests can buy up to five boards each.

Where the pumpkins hide

Pluto's Pumpkin Pursuit is generally kept to World Discovery, World Nature and World Celebration, with a short run into World Showcase. That is a deliberate split from the festival's other hunt: Remy's Ratatouille Hide and Squeak lives in World Showcase and runs the entire length of the Food and Wine Festival.

The practical result is that the two hunts do not compete for the same walking route. A guest doing both covers the front half of the park for Pluto and the promenade for Remy, which is close to a full lap of EPCOT either way.

How it fits into the fall calendar

Pluto's Pumpkin Pursuit debuted at EPCOT in 2022 and has returned every year since. It sits inside the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival, which runs August 27 through November 21, 2026, but only for the Halloween-specific window rather than the full festival.

That is worth checking against travel dates. A guest visiting in early September gets the festival and Remy's hunt but not Pluto's, and a guest visiting in mid-November gets the festival without either Halloween element.

The Buzz

What this means for guests

Buy the board early in the day. The hunt is a walking activity rather than a queue, and doing it while moving between festival booths costs almost no extra time. Guests entering through International Gateway can pick up a board at World Traveler on the way in and redeem it there on the way out.

Disney notes that the event is subject to change or cancellation without notice, including changes to dates and pricing, so confirm current details on DisneyWorld.com before counting on it.
