Animal Kingdom Joins Disney World's Halloween Menu October 1 With a Boneyard Sundae and a Mummy Twist

Disney's full 2026 Halloween food guide for Walt Disney World adds nine Animal Kingdom items starting October 1, alongside a new Maleficent Funnel Cake at Hollywood Studios, a Devilish Crispy Chicken Sandwich at Magic Kingdom and a resort-wide candy-shop lineup. Everything runs through October 31.

Walt Disney World's Halloween menu grows again on October 1, when Disney's Animal Kingdom brings in nine seasonal bakery and dessert items, led by the new Boneyard Cookies and Scream Sundae at Terra Treats. The full resort-wide Halloween food list, published by the Disney Parks Blog on September 24, also covers Magic Kingdom, Disney's Hollywood Studios, a lineup of candy-shop treats sold in every park, and a light-up Vampire Mickey Mouse popcorn bucket. Everything runs through October 31.

Animal Kingdom's Halloween Menu Starts October 1

Animal Kingdom is the late arrival this year. Every one of them is marked as available starting October 1, so guests visiting the park in the last week of September will not find them yet.

On Discovery Island, Terra Treats carries two new frozen desserts: the Boneyard Cookies and Scream Sundae, and a Fall Ice Cream Cookie Dough Sandwich made with vanilla ice cream, edible cookie dough, chocolate brownie, chocolate chips, fall sprinkles and sea salt flakes. Nearby, Flame Tree Barbecue adds a new Candy Corn Pop, a spiced cheesecake with an apple butter swirl and brown butter graham crackers, dipped in white chocolate. Creature Comforts has a new Fall Chocolate Chip Cookie finished with Halloween sprinkles.

Hollywood Studios: Maleficent Funnel Cake and the Ghost Cream Puff

The headline item at Hollywood Studios is new. Epic Eats in Echo Lake is serving a Maleficent Funnel Cake: a chocolate funnel cake topped with shimmer, powdered sugar, ube and matcha icings, vanilla soft-serve and chocolate horns. The purple and green icings echo the colors most associated with the Sleeping Beauty villain.

In Toy Story Land, Woody's Lunch Box has a Pumpkin Lunch Box Tart, a pumpkin pie-filled pastry tart with marshmallow fondant, Halloween sprinkles, marshmallows and chocolate jack-o'-lanterns. And the Ghost Cream Puff returns at both ABC Commissary and Backlot Express, filled with sour apple custard and topped with toasted meringue and chocolate crispy pearls.

Magic Kingdom's Daytime Halloween Menu

Magic Kingdom's list is built for regular park hours, but most of it also stays on sale during Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, which runs on select nights through October 31. The exceptions matter if you are planning a party night: the Queen of Hearts Tart at Cheshire Cafe and the S'mores Cup at Columbia Harbor House are listed as regular-park-hours only.

On Main Street, U.S.A., Plaza Ice Cream Parlor has the Pumpkin Sundae, pumpkin gelato with pumpkin-spiced caramel sauce, pumpkin brittle and Halloween sprinkles. The parlor stays open until 11 p.m. on party nights.

Next door, The Plaza Restaurant (reservations recommended) has the biggest Halloween menu in the park, and two of its four items are new:

• Devilish Crispy Chicken Sandwich (new): ghoulish spiced mayonnaise, red cabbage and Fresno peppers on a black kaiser roll, served with french fries
• Skull Meatloaf: Caribbean-style glazed meatloaf with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables
• Phantom Pecan-Caramel Cheesecake (new): layers of New York and caramel cheesecake with dulce de leche, chocolate ganache and pecans on a chocolate crust
• Goblins and Ghoulies: a cocktail of Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum, Disaronno Originale Liqueur, apple cider and pomegranate juice

• Cheshire Cafe in Fantasyland: the new Queen of Hearts Tart with sour cherry pie filling (regular park hours only)
• Columbia Harbor House in Liberty Square: the S'mores Cup, with graham cracker pieces, chocolate ganache, chocolate popping candies, milk chocolate panna cotta and marshmallow cream (regular park hours only)

The longest part of the guide is the candy-counter lineup. These are the caramel apples, cereal treats, cupcakes and marshmallow pops made at the resort's confectionery shops, and several are sold far beyond the parks. The core group of shops is Main Street Confectionery and Big Top Souvenirs at Magic Kingdom, Zuri's Sweets Shop at Animal Kingdom, Goofy's Candy Company and Disney's Candy Cauldron at Disney Springs, Bayview Gifts at Disney's Contemporary Resort and Screen Door General Store on Disney's BoardWalk. EPCOT's only entry is at Karamell-Küche in the Germany pavilion, which carries two of the caramel apples.

The season's popcorn novelty is the Vampire Mickey Mouse Bucket, which lights up and comes filled with popcorn at purchase. It is sold at snack carts in all four theme parks, Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom, while supplies last. Disney did not publish a price.

Disney flagged six items as picks for younger guests: the S'mores Cup at Columbia Harbor House, the Boneyard Cookies and Scream Sundae at Terra Treats, the Maleficent Funnel Cake at Epic Eats, the Mummy Twist at Animal Kingdom's bakery counters, the Fall Chocolate Chip Cookie at Creature Comforts, and the Mickey Halloween Marshmallow Pop at Main Street Confectionery. Everything Ends October 31, and Animal Kingdom's Menu Gets One Month

The whole lineup ends October 31. Animal Kingdom's nine items only run from October 1, so a late-September visit there will miss them, while Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios already have their menus running. The candy-shop treats are the easiest to catch, since the same shops span three parks plus Disney Springs and two resort hotels. Party-night guests should grab the Queen of Hearts Tart and the S'mores Cup during the day, because neither is sold after regular park hours. Disney notes that all items are subject to change and availability.
