Aladdin, Cinderella, Mirabel and Tiana Headline 1900 Park Fare's Return to the Grand Floridian
1900 Park Fare reopens at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa on April 10, 2024 with a new character line-up of Aladdin, Cinderella, Mirabel and Tiana at both breakfast and dinner. The buffet brings back the strawberry soup, Big Bertha returns as the dining room's centrepiece, and twelve new impressionist-style portraits join a refurbished, carousel-themed space. Reservations open March 5, and each meal counts as one Table-Service Meal on the Disney Dining Plan.

Aladdin, Cinderella, Mirabel and Tiana are the new faces of 1900 Park Fare, which reopens at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa on April 10, 2024 after four years dark. The buffet comes back with the strawberry soup intact, the dining room comes back refurbished, and the character line-up is a full reset rather than a revival of the two meals fans remember.

A New Character Line-Up Built Around Wishes
Characters stop by throughout both breakfast and dinner, and Disney has organised the meal around the idea of wishing. The line-up is Aladdin in his Prince Ali look, Cinderella, Mirabel from Encanto, and Tiana in the new costume she wears for Tiana's Bayou Adventure — and Disney notes that some of them are appearing at this location for the first time.

That is a genuine change of direction. Before the 2020 closure, 1900 Park Fare ran two distinct meals: a morning Mary Poppins-anchored breakfast and an evening Cinderella dinner whose real draw was the stepsisters working the room. The new version drops the split, keeps Cinderella, and folds in two characters from the last fifteen years of Disney animation. Guests who booked 1900 Park Fare specifically to be insulted by Anastasia and Drizella will not find that here.
Tiana's presence is the tell on timing. Her updated look is tied to Tiana's Bayou Adventure in Frontierland at Magic Kingdom, so the restaurant reopens as a place to meet her in the costume the ride introduced.
The Buffet Returns — and So Does the Strawberry Soup
Breakfast and dinner are both buffets. Disney has confirmed the return of guest favourites and named the one that mattered most to regulars: the strawberry soup, the chilled sweet soup that became 1900 Park Fare's signature well beyond its actual merits as a breakfast course. Alongside it are new dishes the chefs built to reference the characters and stories now decorating the restaurant.

Big Bertha, Carousel Murals and Twelve New Portraits
The refurbishment leans into the restaurant's own history rather than replacing it. Big Bertha, the antique organ that has been at the Grand Floridian since 1988, returns to the main dining room as its centrepiece — she is the single most-photographed object in the restaurant and losing her would have been the one change guests could not forgive.

The carousel theming carries through the rest of the space, starting with a new mural at the entrance. One adjoining dining room holds drawings of carousel animals drawn from Alice in Wonderland and The Little Mermaid, and there are further carousel details worked into the room for guests who go looking.
The main dining room also gains twelve new portraits commissioned exclusively for the restaurant from Disney artists. Each is painted in the impressionist style of the late 19th and early 20th centuries — the period the Grand Floridian's Victorian architecture already evokes — and each shows a different Disney character in the act of hoping, dreaming or wishing, whether on a star, a magic lamp or a wishing well.

The Rest of the Grand Floridian Has Been Moving Too
1900 Park Fare is the last major piece of a resort-wide refresh. Guest rooms have been refurbished, Cítricos now dines under a London sky inspired by Mary Poppins Returns, and Enchanted Rose lounge takes its cues from Beauty and the Beast. Both Narcoossee's and Victoria & Albert's have also been refreshed. Disney says more updates to the resort are still to come.

Reservations Open March 5, and Each Meal Is One Dining Plan Credit
The date to put in your calendar is March 5, 2024, when reservations open at DisneyWorld.com — five weeks before the restaurant actually reopens. A character buffet at a monorail resort that has been closed for four years is going to move quickly at the 60-day mark for resort guests, and the reopening month is the hardest window of all.

If you are on the Disney Dining Plan, breakfast and dinner each cost one Table-Service Meal, which makes this one of the cheaper ways to spend a table-service credit on a character meal. And because the Grand Floridian sits on the monorail loop, you can eat here without a park ticket. Disney announced the reopening on the Disney Parks Blog.
