Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party returns to Magic Kingdom Park for 38 select nights between August 7 and October 31, 2026, with tickets running $119 to $229 plus tax depending on the date. The headline addition this year is a masquerade hosted by Stitch in Tomorrowland, joined by a new run of Captain Jack Sparrow antics in Adventureland. Everything guests book this party for returns: the Boo-To-You parade, the Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks, the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular and trick or treating from land to land.

What the party is

For decades, Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has been the cornerstone of fall at Walt Disney World. It is a separate hard ticket event rather than daytime park admission, which gives guests Magic Kingdom after regular hours with a capped crowd, entertainment that runs only on party nights, and Halloween touches that appear at no other time of year. It is squarely aimed at families: spooky but sweet, built around costumes, candy and characters.

Party dates and what a ticket actually buys

The party runs on select nights across three months. August has nine nights (7, 11, 14, 18, 21, 23, 25, 28 and 30), September has thirteen (1, 4, 8, 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22, 24, 25, 27 and 29), and October has sixteen (1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 13, 15, 16, 18, 22, 23, 25, 27, 29 and 31).

Official party hours are 7:00 PM to midnight, but the ticket lets guests into Magic Kingdom at 4:00 PM, three hours before the event starts. Those three hours are the part regulars plan around, because standby lines shrink sharply once day guests clear out and the party crowd is capped.

Pricing moves with demand. The cheapest nights sit at $119 plus tax and the busiest, which in practice means late October and Halloween night itself, reach $229 plus tax. Annual Passholders and eligible Disney Vacation Club Members save $10 per ticket, but only on nights from August 7 to October 2, so the discount runs out before the most expensive dates arrive. Disney sells the tickets online in advance and warns that they are limited and may sell out before the day of the event.

What is new for 2026

Stitch takes over the Rockettower Plaza Stage in Tomorrowland with Lilo and Angel for a masquerade that changes as it goes. The conceit is that Stitch has gotten into Lilo's Costume Trunk, and each accessory he puts on flips the theme of the show, so the set does not repeat itself across the night.

Adventureland gets the second addition. Captain Jack Sparrow drops anchor there to lead a series of pirate antics, which puts a second roaming entertainment anchor on the west side of the park and gives guests something to do in the stretch between the first parade and the fireworks.

The parade, the fireworks and the Sanderson Sisters

Mickey's Boo-To-You Halloween Parade opens with the Headless Horseman galloping down the parade route, which remains the single most photographed 15 seconds of the night. Behind him come Disney characters in Halloween costumes, including Minnie Mouse, Clarabelle Cow and Daisy Duck dressed as the Sanderson Sisters, on their way trick or treating down Main Street, U.S.A. The Haunted Mansion section brings the Hitchhiking Ghosts and the spectral Bride gliding among waltzing spirits, and the parade closes with a Fantasyland inspired finale of villains and dancers.

Disney's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular is the party fireworks show, hosted by Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas. The story sends Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy into a haunted house where they run into dancing skeletons, waltzing ghosts and a gathering of Disney villains, told with lasers, projections and fireworks over Cinderella Castle.

Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular puts the Sanderson Sisters, Winifred, Mary and Sarah, on the Cinderella Castle Stage, where they recruit Disney villains to brew a party potion aimed at everyone in the park. Dr. Facilier, Oogie Boogie and Maleficent all appear. The show runs only during the party, which is the reason it stays on so many first timer lists.

Dance parties and live music around the park

Storybook Circus hosts character meets with Donald Duck, Daisy Duck and Pluto. Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe becomes the Destination DescenDANCE Party, a night long dance set built on music and choreography from the Descendants films. Over in Frontierland, The Cadaver Dans barbershop quartet works the crowd with what Disney describes as "dead pan" humor.

Attractions with an extra layer of Halloween

Three attractions get party specific treatment. Space Mountain runs in pitch black darkness with a spooky soundtrack instead of its usual score. Mad Tea Party swaps in special lighting for a different look. Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor doubles as a trick or treat stop, so guests collect candy on the way out.

Trick or treating and allergy friendly treats

Candy stations are spread across the park so guests can collect from land to land. Disney has not yet posted the 2026 trick or treat locations and says the list will come later.

Guests with food allergies should pick up a teal colored treat bag on arrival. Regular trick or treat stops carry a small selection of allergy friendly treats, and dedicated allergy friendly candy centers around the park carry a wider assortment. Disney also publishes a full allergy friendly menu for the party, and asks guests to tell the cast member taking their order about any special diets request.

Halloween food, dining reservations and dessert parties

Party exclusive food and drink returns, with early highlights including the Minnie Witch Hat at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe, the Bowl of Bones at The Friar's Nook and Buzzard Wings at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe. Disney's full Foodie Guide covers the rest of the lineup.

Quick service locations staying open during the party: Aloha Isle, Auntie Gravity's Galactic Goodies, Casey's Corner, Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe, The Friar's Nook, Golden Oak Outpost, Liberty Square Market, The Lunching Pad, Main Street Bakery, Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe, Pinocchio Village Haus, Plaza Ice Cream Parlor, Sleepy Hollow and Storybook Treats. Several of them serve Halloween inspired items alongside the usual menu.

For table service, Be Our Guest Restaurant and Cinderella's Royal Table serve party exclusive menu items from 4:00 PM on event nights, and both are limited to party guests. The Plaza Restaurant carries some Halloween themed items all day and into the evening. The Beak and Barrel is also open for sips and snacks. Advance reservations are required at all of them, and the party night bookings are restricted to guests holding an event ticket.

Two fireworks dessert parties give a reserved viewing spot for the Not-So-Spooky Spectacular: one at Tomorrowland Terrace and one with Plaza Garden viewing. Both need advance reservations and are limited to party guests. Menu items and dining locations can change.

Costumes, characters and party merchandise

The party is one of the rare occasions when guests of all ages, adults included, are welcome to wear costumes inside a Disney park. Disney publishes official costume guidelines covering masks, length, props and what counts as too close to a Disney character look, and reading them before packing saves an argument at bag check.

Disney characters appear in their own Halloween outfits during the party and pose for photos, including favorites and villains in attire guests will not see on a standard park day. Event exclusive merchandise typically covers apparel, accessories, drinkware, home decor, pins and Annual Passholder items, all sold while supplies last. Halloween themed Disney Gift Cards are part of the seasonal lineup, and they work as a keepsake as easily as they do as a way to pay for the night.

Halloween across the Disney Resorts Collection

The Halloween season is not confined to Magic Kingdom. Across the Disney Resorts Collection hotels, autumnal decor, seasonal touches and character moments set the mood before guests reach the park, which matters on a party night when the ticket does not start until 4:00 PM and the afternoon has to go somewhere.

PhotoPass, Magic Shots and Memory Maker

Disney PhotoPass photographers work the party at the park entrance, along Main Street, U.S.A., at several spots around Cinderella Castle and at Haunted Mansion, among other locations, and they carry event only props. Magic Shots add effects that cannot be captured on a phone.

PhotoPass also covers character greetings, and ride photos are captured on Haunted Mansion, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Space Mountain, Tiana's Bayou Adventure and TRON Lightcycle / Run during the party. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and TRON include video capture as well. Attraction photos and videos link to a MyDisney account.

Downloads come through Memory Maker, sold in two versions: Memory Maker One Day covers every photo from the day of the party, and the standard Memory Maker covers an entire Walt Disney World trip. For a family attending one party night on a longer vacation, the math between the two is worth checking before the trip rather than at the exit.

What this means for guests

The 2026 calendar is front loaded with cheaper nights. August and early September dates carry the lowest prices and the only window where the Passholder and Disney Vacation Club discount applies, while late October costs the most and sells out first. Guests who want the Sanderson Sisters and the Headless Horseman without the peak week crowds should look at the August and early September dates, and anyone set on Halloween night itself should buy well ahead.
