Magic Kingdom's fall PhotoPass lineup is out, from Autumn Tinker Bell to a Halloween Super Zoom
Disney PhotoPass has revealed the fall photo ops and Magic Shots for Magic Kingdom, running August 7 through October 31 for all day guests. Six character add-ons and eight Magic Shots are on the list, most of them locked to a single photographer position, and the party-exclusive shots are still to be announced.
Disney PhotoPass has published its fall lineup for Magic Kingdom, and it runs from August 7 through October 31. The list covers character photo ops with fixed photographer positions and a set of Magic Shots that add pumpkins, balloons and Tinker Bell to a frame after the fact. A separate list of shots exclusive to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is still to come.

Character photo ops and where the photographers stand
These are digital character add-ons rather than meet and greets, which means no queue: a PhotoPass photographer at a set position drops the character into the shot. Locations matter, because each character is only available from specific photographers.
- Winnie the Pooh and Piglet: behind Cinderella Castle, and by the castle walls near Pinocchio Village Haus
- Mickey Mouse: the lawns in front of The Plaza Restaurant and Casey's Corner, and the bridge from Cinderella Castle into Fantasyland
- Minnie Mouse: the same two positions as Mickey
- Stitch: the bridge from Cinderella Castle into Tomorrowland
- Pluto: the bridges from Cinderella Castle into Liberty Square, Tomorrowland, Adventureland and Fantasyland
- Huey, Dewey and Louie: most photographers on Main Street, U.S.A.
The Magic Shots on the fall list
Magic Shots are the seasonal props, and they are the reason guests plan a route. Eight are on the fall list. Seven of them are tied to specific photographer positions.
- Mickey Mouse Jack-O-Lantern: near the Partners statue, the Town Square flagpole, the lawns in front of The Plaza Restaurant and Casey's Corner, and the castle hub
- Festive Pumpkins: near the Partners statue and in the castle hub
- Halloween Balloons: at the park entrance in front of the Walt Disney World Railroad station, and in most positions facing Cinderella Castle
- Autumn Tinker Bell: by the castle walls near Pinocchio Village Haus, at the entrance in front of the railroad station, and in most positions facing the castle
- Autumn Tiny World: near Cinderella's Wishing Well, on the right-hand side of the castle
- Spooky Vintage: most photographers on Main Street, U.S.A.
- Halloween Super Zoom: near the East Lawn and The Plaza Restaurant inside the castle hub
One shot does not have a fixed spot. Halloween Confetti is available from most photographers around the park for the full run of the season, but it has to be asked for, so a guest who does not mention it will not get it.
Halloween Super Zoom is the one worth walking for. It is a single-position shot in the castle hub, and the effect is easier to see than to describe.
How to get the images
Every shot on this list is taken by a Disney PhotoPass photographer, so the images land in My Disney Experience under the account linked at the time of the photo. Guests with Memory Maker or a PhotoPass package already have them covered; everyone else can preview and buy individual images afterwards. The Magic Shot effects are added after the photographer uploads, so the version on the camera screen is not the finished picture.
The Buzz
Fall photo lists land in the same week as the first Halloween party of the year, and guests treat them as a route map rather than a novelty. Several of this year's shots are position-locked to a single photographer, so knowing which side of Cinderella Castle to walk down is the difference between getting the shot and missing it. The one that has guests talking is the Halloween Super Zoom, which exists at exactly one spot in the castle hub.
What this means for guests
The fall list is open to every Magic Kingdom guest from August 7, no party ticket needed, and it stops on October 31 along with the rest of the season. The practical move is to ask each photographer what they have rather than assuming: Halloween Confetti in particular only appears on request, and the position-locked shots are easy to walk past. Guests holding tickets to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party get a second, separate list of photo ops on party nights, and Disney has not published that one yet.
