Disney Celebrates America's 250th: Soarin' Across America, Fireworks, Treats, and Festivities at Sea

Over Fourth of July weekend 2026, Disney marks America's 250th anniversary with the debut of Soarin' Across America, fireworks and flyovers at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort, Americana merchandise, red-white-and-blue treats, and star-spangled sailings on Disney Cruise Line.

As Disney Celebrates America marks the nation's 250th anniversary over Fourth of July weekend, Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, and Disney Cruise Line are rolling out a coast-to-coast lineup of patriotic entertainment, limited-edition merchandise, and red-white-and-blue treats. From the debut of the reimagined Soarin' Across America to fireworks, flyovers, and festivities at sea, here's everything guests can look forward to across the July 4th holiday.

Soarin' Across America Takes Flight Coast to Coast

The centerpiece of the parks celebration is Soarin' Across America, an all-new flight experience that sweeps guests over a tapestry of American landscapes, from iconic natural wonders to vibrant cityscapes. The reimagined attraction pairs fresh scenery with a new musical arrangement of the beloved Soarin' score by composer Bruce Broughton.

Guests at Walt Disney World can already board the adventure at EPCOT, and the attraction opens at Disney California Adventure on July 2. Beginning July 16 for a limited time, the queue at California Adventure adds The Soarin' Challenge Across America — a trivia game created with National Geographic. Guests scan a QR code to test their knowledge of all 50 states and compete for a spot on a digital leaderboard, while travelers at EPCOT will find the same trivia displayed throughout their queue.

A Star-Spangled Celebration Across the Parks

Walt Disney World Resort

The celebration spans the resort with "Disney's Celebrate America! — A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky" at Magic Kingdom and the "Heartbeat of Freedom" fireworks grand finale immediately following "Luminous The Symphony of Us" at EPCOT. Guests will also find patriotic lighting on Spaceship Earth, performances by Voices of Liberty July 3–5 (with exclusive echo-set performances on July 4), the beloved Electrical Water Pageant, and themed decor along Main Street, U.S.A.

Additional offerings include flag retreat ceremonies, performances by the Dapper Dans and Main Street Philharmonic, and an extended run of the Portraits of Courage exhibit honoring post-9/11 veterans through the holiday weekend. Over at Disney Springs, guests will find festive decor plus performances from the United States Air Force Band of the West on July 3 and 4.

In a rare salute, Walt Disney World will host a flyover by the U.S. Air Force Reserve's 920th Rescue Wing from Patrick Space Force Base over Magic Kingdom and EPCOT beginning at 10:30 a.m. on July 4 (weather permitting), recognizing the U.S. military heroes who have served since the nation's founding in 1776.

Disneyland Resort

At Disneyland Resort, Fourth of July weekend brings a pre-show fireworks tribute ahead of World of Color, the return of "Disney's Celebrate America! – A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky," patriotic attire for the Dapper Dans, military band performances across the resort through July 5, and a celebratory cavalcade honoring America at select times from July 3–5.

Guests can also take part in flag retreat ceremonies honoring veterans, admire themed decor along Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park and Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure, and enjoy limited-time entertainment and specialty food and beverage offerings throughout the weekend.

Americana Merchandise at Disney Store

Disney Store is marking the milestone with a collection of red, white, and blue styles inspired by America's past, present, and future. Walt Disney World Resort

At Magic Kingdom Park, Sleepy Hollow offers a Red, White, and Blue Funnel Cake and a Red, White, and Blue Waffle, each topped with mixed berries, vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and festive sprinkles. Liberty Square Market pours a layered Red, White, and Blue Slushy (frozen Fanta Blue Raspberry and Fanta Cherry with whipped cream and popping candies), while Columbia Harbour House serves a Berry Shortcake.

At EPCOT, Regal Eagle Smokehouse dishes up a Sam Eagle Star-Spangled Shortcake alongside the non-alcoholic 1776 historic refresher. And at Sunshine Seasons, the new S'morin' Across America Milk Shake layers a s'mores milkshake with toasted marshmallow, graham cracker, and a Soarin' hang glider garnish.

Over at Disney's Hollywood Studios, Rosie's All-American Cafe on Sunset Boulevard debuts the exclusive Red Velvet Riveter — red velvet cake with fudge filling, cream cheese icing, ginger streusel, star sprinkles, and a chocolate piece.

At Disneyland Park, Refreshment Corner pours a Rocket Soda (blueberry soda topped with vanilla sweet cream and orange meteor candies), and the churro cart near Town Square and Sleeping Beauty Castle adds an Apple Pie Dip.

Across the esplanade at Disney California Adventure, Smokejumpers Grill serves a Red, White & Blue Punch, Willie's Churros introduces a new Apple Pie Churro, and Clarabelle's Hand-Scooped Ice Cream unveils a 250th Celebration Dipped Mickey Bar.

Fans of the Muppets' most patriotic eagle can also grab the collectible Sam Eagle Bucket, a novelty available at both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort while supplies last (limit two per person, per transaction).

Celebrating at Sea with Disney Cruise Line

The festivities also set sail with Disney Cruise Line, where guests on select Fourth of July weekend voyages can commemorate the 250th anniversary with star-spangled offerings. Highlights include a stirring performance of the national anthem by main-stage performers, a high-energy character dance party, themed food and beverage, patriotic Magic Shots, and a festive towel animal at turndown. On select itineraries where available, the celebration lights up the night with fireworks at sea.

In honor of the milestone, Disney Cruise Line is also recognizing U.S. military personnel with an exclusive $250 onboard credit per reservation on select Disney Wish and Disney Dream sailings throughout 2026.

Even More Ways to Celebrate

The celebration extends across Disney's broadcast platforms. Beginning the evening of July 3 and continuing through July 4, ABC, ABC News, ESPN, and National Geographic present a 24-hour, cross-platform broadcast spanning ABC, Disney+, Hulu, National Geographic, FX, Freeform, ABC News Live, ESPN, and ABC Owned Television Stations. Good Morning America will broadcast live from the Disney Wonder in Alaska June 30–July 4.

Now streaming on Disney+ and Hulu, "Disney Celebrates America: The Pursuit of Happiness" is a two-hour primetime special hosted by "20/20" co-anchor Deborah Roberts from Walt Disney World and ABC News correspondent Will Reeve from Disneyland. The coast-to-coast event uses Disney Parks and attractions — from Main Street, U.S.A. to Cars Land — as a portal into America's greatest stories, innovations, and traditions.
