Disney Believe staterooms will get papercut-style art inspired by Moana, Coco and The Lion King
Disney Parks shared four images on October 7 of Disney Believe staterooms with all-new papercut-style artwork inspired by Disney stories such as Moana, Coco and The Lion King. The post, which went up the evening of the ship's reveal, does not say which stateroom categories carry the art or which film each room draws on. The Disney Cruise Line ship sails December 18, 2027.

Staterooms on the Disney Believe, the Disney Cruise Line ship due to sail in December 2027, will carry all-new papercut-style artwork inspired by Disney stories such as Moana, Coco and The Lion King. Disney Parks announced it on X on October 7 with four images of the rooms. The post does not say which stateroom categories get the art.
Key Details
- Ship: Disney Believe
- Where: Guest staterooms on board
- Art: All-new, in a papercut style
- Stories named: Moana, Coco and The Lion King
- Maiden voyage: December 18, 2027

Three films named, and room for more
Disney gave three films as examples of the stories behind the art and did not say how many others there are.
- A cut-paper look. Papercut-style art is made to look like shapes cut out of paper.
- Moana in two places. Moana, Disney Animation's 2016 film set in ancient Polynesia, is also the theme of the Grand Hall, the ship's central atrium.
- Coco, from Pixar. The 2017 film follows a boy who crosses into the Land of the Dead on Mexico's Day of the Dead.
- The Lion King. Disney's 1994 animated film follows Simba, a young lion on the African savanna.
- Not a full list. The post says the art draws on stories "like" these three and names no others.
"All-new papercut-style artwork inspired by Disney stories like Moana, Coco and The Lion King will be featured in staterooms on board the Disney Believe," Disney Parks wrote on X.
What the four images show
Each image shows a different view, and the art takes more than one form across them.
- Art in several forms. Across the images, art appears on the walls, in a mural above a bed and in a detailed headboard.
- Different views. One image shows a sofa and a vanity, another a round window facing the ocean, and a third bunk beds behind the main bed.
- The ship's name. In two of the images, the room's television shows a Disney Believe logo.

Posted on the night of the ship's reveal
The post went up less than an hour after the start of the October 7 livestream that revealed the Believe's homeport and itineraries.
- Fort Lauderdale homeport. The Believe will sail from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
- Short cruises. Disney announced four- and five-night cruises to the Caribbean and The Bahamas.
- More Disney stories. The reveal also named an Encanto stage show, a Frozen dining experience called Oaken's Table and cafes themed to Moana and Big Hero 6.
Which staterooms get the art is still unknown
Disney has shown the art without saying which rooms carry it or which film goes where.
- Categories not named. The post does not say whether the art is in every stateroom or only in some categories, such as inside, oceanview, verandah or concierge rooms.
- No film per room. No image is matched to a film, so it is not clear which story each room's art draws on.
- Still being built. The ship is under construction at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany.
- Booking date. General booking for Disney Believe sailings opens October 19, 2026.
Our take. Anyone booking on October 19 with this art in mind has four images to go on and no room-by-room list. Until Disney names the categories, a stateroom is better chosen for its layout and price, with the art treated as a bonus.
