UCF football puts a Walt Disney World logo on every helmet, starting with its Big 12 opener
UCF's football helmets now carry a Walt Disney World logo on the rear bumper, revealed at Magic Kingdom and debuting Saturday, September 26, when the Knights hosted TCU at Acrisure Bounce House in their Big 12 opener. The logo stays on every helmet for the rest of the season, which both organizations describe as an expansion of their longstanding Central Florida relationship.

The UCF Knights are carrying a Walt Disney World logo onto the field this season. UCF Athletics and Walt Disney World Resort revealed on Friday, September 25, that the resort's script wordmark now sits on the rear bumper of every UCF football helmet, starting with Saturday's Big 12 Conference opener against TCU at Acrisure Bounce House in Orlando.
Where the logo sits on the helmet
The mark runs along the rear bumper, the strip at the bottom back edge of the shell, just above the neck. It is a small placement, but it is hard to miss on a broadcast: the camera lands on the back of the helmet in every huddle and on every snap filmed from behind the line.
UCF staged the reveal at Magic Kingdom. The photo lined up three Knights helmets, one white, one gold and one black, in front of Cinderella Castle, with the gold helmet turned around to show the wordmark across its back.

A season-long look, debuting against TCU
This is not a one-game uniform. According to the university, the logo stays on every UCF football helmet for the rest of the 2026 season. It debuted Saturday, September 26, in the Knights' nationally televised home game against the TCU Horned Frogs, who were making their first visit to the Bounce House. UCF has played in the Big 12 since 2023, so conference play puts the Knights in front of a national audience most weeks of the fall.

What UCF and Disney said about the partnership
Both sides describe the helmet logo as the next step in a relationship that already exists, not as a new deal. UCF Vice President and Director of Athletics Terry Mohajir said in the university's announcement:
"Walt Disney World is part of the fabric of Central Florida, and we are incredibly proud to feature its logo on our football helmets. This relationship brings together two organizations with deep roots in our community, tremendous national reach and a shared belief in creating memorable experiences."
Terry Mohajir, UCF Vice President and Director of Athletics
For Disney, Sivonne Davis, Walt Disney World Resort vice president of marketing strategy, framed it as an expansion of a long relationship with the school:
"UCF is an important part of our community, and we are proud to expand on our longstanding relationship in a way that celebrates the spirit of Central Florida."

Why a theme park logo fits on a UCF helmet
The link between the two runs through people more than marketing. University officials pointed out that thousands of UCF students and graduates have taken part in Walt Disney World's student programs or gone on to work for the company, which makes the resort one of the most familiar employers on campus. With both in the Orlando area, plenty of Knights fans in the stands have worked a shift at the resort, or know someone who has.
WKMG News 6 and WFTV Channel 9 both reported the unveiling. Neither outlet, nor either organization, released the financial terms of the arrangement.
Nothing changes for park guests, for now
The helmet is the whole announcement. Anyone watching UCF this fall, at the Bounce House or on television, will see the wordmark every time a Knight turns away from the camera. For Walt Disney World guests there is nothing to book and nothing new inside the parks: the reveal came with no ticket offer, fan event, game-day perk or in-stadium activation. If either side announces one later in the season, it will be the first sign the partnership reaches past the helmet, and we will update this story.
