Key Details

The satin bomber jacket, $99.99

The jacket is sage green satin, snapping down the front with gold buttons and carrying gold piping that runs from the collar down each sleeve. An embroidered Muppets Show 50 logo sits on the left chest. The back carries the classic show logo in light pink and gold satin, with Kermit smiling out of the middle of the O. Inside, the lining is satin with quilted stitching, which is a real construction detail rather than a printed liner.

The cardigan sweater, $99.99

This is the most unusual piece in the line. The multi-colored knit has purple edging along the collar, sleeves and hem with matching purple buttons down the center, and it carries actual plush appliques: a Kermit plush sewn on the right side, smiling and waving, and a Beaker plush on the lower left with his hands over his mouth. The sleeves are balloon-style, with Fozzie Bear stitched on one and Miss Piggy on the other.

The T-shirt, $36.99

The blue tee is 100% cotton, and its front art packs in nine characters perched on a theater marquee displaying the Muppets Show 50 logo: Statler, Waldorf, Kermit, Sam Eagle, Fozzie Bear, Gonzo, Rowlf, Scooter and Miss Piggy, the last of them with her hands up in glee as the show's self-declared star. That marquee framing is the closest the collection gets to the original series structure, where the sketches were always a show inside a show.

Why Hollywood Studios is the right home for it

Rock Around the Shop is not a random placement. Muppet*Vision 3D ran at Disney's Hollywood Studios for decades and the Muppets have kept a physical footprint in that park longer than anywhere else at Walt Disney World, from the courtyard fountain to Muppets Mobile Lab appearances. The Muppets also carry a live presence over at EPCOT with the Brew-Wing Lab at the Odyssey, where Muppet Labs branding fronts the festival wing menu again this year. Between the two, Hollywood Studios remains the park where a Muppets collection makes sense on the shelf.

The collection is on shelves now at Rock Around the Shop

There is no release window to wait for and no event ticket attached: the three pieces are out now at Rock Around the Shop at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Disney has not said whether the line expands beyond these three items or reaches other locations on property, so anyone set on the cardigan should treat a single-store, post-D23 stock level as the constraint.
