What is on the menu at Olivia's Cafe
Disney's page leads with Southern comfort plates and two Key West desserts.
- Fried chicken. Disney's photos show Buttermilk Fried Chicken served with gravy, asparagus and a biscuit.
- Bread pudding. Another photo shows Banana Bread Pudding with strawberries and bacon, finished with poured syrup.
- Key Lime Pie. The Florida Keys classic is one of two desserts Disney suggests to end lunch or dinner.
- Bananas Foster. Olivia's Bananas Foster is the other dessert Disney names.
- The bar. Drinks include island cocktails, specialty nonalcoholic beverages, wine and draft beers.
Who Olivia is: the story behind the cafe
The restaurant comes with a backstory about a home cook whose kitchen became the neighborhood's favorite table.
- Her cottage. In Disney's story, Olivia Farnsworth lived in a small cottage on a street called Turtle Krawl, upwind of the strip.
- An open door. Almost daily, she invited passersby who smelled her cooking to come in and pull up a chair.
- More tables. Her vibrant flavors and earthy personality drew so many diners that she kept setting more tables.
- Her own cafe. She eventually opened a cafe under her name, which the story says has drawn locals and out-of-towners alike ever since.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner menus and reservations
Olivia's posts a separate menu for each meal and takes reservations through Disney.
- Three menus. Disney publishes separate breakfast, lunch and dinner menus for Olivia's Cafe.
- Book through Disney. The cafe's Disney dining page takes reservations and lists its cancellation and modification policy.
- Dining plans. The same page lists the dining plans and discounts that apply at Olivia's.
Our take. Because Olivia's serves all three meals, it works as an unhurried sit-down breakfast before a park day; if you come for lunch or dinner instead, leave room for the Key Lime Pie or the Bananas Foster.
