Walt Disney World's century-themed waterfront promenade along Crescent Lake will gain two brand-new experiences beginning in late 2026, a lively new lounge called Hurly-Burly and a handcrafted bath-and-body shop, Basin on the BoardWalk, with a new quick-service restaurant teased to follow.

Modeled on the turn-of-the-century coastal boardwalks of Atlantic City and Coney Island, Disney's BoardWalk has long blended dining, shopping and nightlife into one breezy stroll along the water. These additions are framed as a continued evolution of the area, new energy layered onto the resort's vintage charm rather than a wholesale reinvention.

A Historic Seaside Theatre Becomes Hurly-Burly

Tucked along the waterfront, Hurly-Burly will welcome guests inside a "historic" seaside theatre with a fictional BoardWalk backstory spanning more than a century. The venue is built to shift personalities as the day goes on.

By afternoon, a charismatic host will lead family-friendly activities like trivia and games. By night, Hurly-Burly transforms into a 21-and-over live music venue, pouring classic, coastal-inspired cocktails alongside light bites while musical acts set the mood.

That split is the interesting part. The BoardWalk's existing nightlife has leaned on Atlantic Dance Hall and Jellyrolls, both evening-only, and neither gives a family with children a reason to walk the promenade at three in the afternoon. A venue that earns its keep twice a day is a different proposition for the area.

Basin Brings Handcrafted Bath and Body to the BoardWalk

Basin, the handmade soap and bath brand familiar to longtime Disney Springs and park shoppers, is opening a dedicated location, Basin on the BoardWalk. Rooted in the resort's classic boardwalk heritage, the shop promises a sensory retail experience that feels both timeless and new.

Inside, guests will find a curated collection of handcrafted goods made with quality ingredients: natural soaps, botanical bath salts, bath bombs, body butters, lip salves, and shampoo and conditioner bars. Interactive stations set this location apart, including a custom bath-tea blending counter, a make-your-own-soap station, and a soap embossing press for a personalized finishing touch.

Those stations are what separate it from the Basin at Disney Springs. This is a retail space guests spend time in rather than pass through, which is the harder thing to build on a promenade.

More BoardWalk Additions on the Way

The lounge and shop are only the first wave. Disney has confirmed a new quick-service restaurant is headed to the BoardWalk but has not named it, described it, or given it an opening window, saying only that more would follow later in the summer. Until that lands, the confirmed picture for late 2026 is two venues: a theatre lounge and a soap shop.

Both sit on the leisure side of what the BoardWalk actually is, a hybrid: a Deluxe resort hotel, a Disney Vacation Club property, and a public entertainment strip on Crescent Lake that anyone can walk to from EPCOT's International Gateway. The additions give guests fresh reasons to book a stay at Disney's BoardWalk Inn or to wander over after a day at EPCOT next door, and they arrive alongside exterior work that has been running along the lake.
