Named after its original home in Glendale, California, Mickey's of Glendale is the Walt Disney Imagineering campus store — normally a behind-the-scenes shop stocked with exclusive apparel, pins, and collectibles created "for Imagineers, by Imagineers." Kicking off this year's Mickey's of Glendale releases is the Walt Disney Imagineering Color Block Collection, an assortment of clothing, pins, and accessories inspired by the creativity of Imagineers and built around current trends and the iconic WDI brand colors.
The collection is built for the fans who notice the little things throughout the parks and products. "I look to design for people who notice every detail," said Product Designer Brenner. "Quality and fit are extremely important as I work through the development process, always thinking about what Imagineers would like best."
Product Designer Isabella pointed to a standout piece in the lineup. "While designing, it's important to focus on creating unique pieces," she said. "My favorite product is the Mini Canvas Tote Bag with the embroidered WDI logo. It's a great everyday bag!"
And in a nod to longtime collectors, the Sorcerer Mickey Big Face Canvas Bag is returning by popular demand — one of the booth's most-requested pieces from past events.
