Grand Floridian Cafe Reservations Open for November 2, and the Calendar Says Dinner Only
Advance Dining Reservations for Grand Floridian Cafe are now bookable from November 2, 2026, with the restaurant's calendar updated to show 5pm to 9pm hours from that date. Walt Disney World has not formally announced the reopening, and brunch, currently running at Citricos, drops off the schedule entirely on the same day.

Grand Floridian Cafe has quietly reappeared in the booking system. Advance Dining Reservations at the Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa table service restaurant are now available from November 2, 2026, and the restaurant's operating calendar has been updated to show 5pm to 9pm hours from that same date. Walt Disney World has not announced a reopening, but it has effectively published one.

Key Details
- First bookable date: November 2, 2026
- Posted hours from that date: 5pm to 9pm
- Closed since: Mid-July 2026, for what Disney calls a refresh
- Brunch in the meantime: Citricos, 7:30am to 2pm, through November 1
- Wider resort work: Continues in select areas, including the covered entrance, through early 2027
The Calendar Is the Announcement
This is now a familiar pattern at Walt Disney World. There was never a formal reopening announcement for Yachtsman Steakhouse either: the calendar changed, reservations opened, and that was the news. Grand Floridian Cafe has followed the same script. Every time slot on November 2 currently shows availability, which is the fingerprint of inventory that was loaded into the system rather than a restaurant that has been bookable for weeks.

Two signals pointing the same way is about as close to confirmation as this gets short of a press release. The dining calendar carries hours, and the reservation system carries tables. Neither is something Disney tends to publish for a restaurant it does not expect to open.
The caveat is the one that applies to every refurbishment. November 2 is nearly two months out, projects slip, and Walt Disney World may well have calendared a conservative date that a soft opening beats by a few days. It is also possible those 5pm to 9pm hours were loaded for a different purpose entirely. Neither is likely, but neither is impossible.
Dinner-Only Hours, and Brunch Vanishes on November 2
The posted hours are worth a second look. Grand Floridian Cafe has historically served breakfast, lunch and dinner, and its brunch is one of the more reliably good meals on the monorail loop. The calendar currently shows a 5pm to 9pm dinner window on the reopening date and nothing earlier.

Brunch has been running at Citricos since the Cafe closed in late July, from 7:30am to 2pm, and that arrangement holds through November 1. On November 2 it disappears from the schedule entirely. There are three readings: an oversight in the calendar, a deliberate staged return where dinner service comes back first, or lingering work at the Cafe that keeps the mornings closed a while longer.
For anyone booking around it, the Citricos version has been a soft landing. It is the same menu one floor up in a newer room with slightly better views, so the substitution has cost guests very little beyond the walk.
The Last Room in a Seven-Year Resort Overhaul
Grand Floridian Cafe is the final piece of a reimagining that has been running at Walt Disney World's flagship resort since 2019. Enchanted Rose came first that year, Citricos followed around the reopening, and the project then moved through guest rooms and the outer buildings. Last Christmas brought the redone lobby and Birdcage Bar. This spring, Garden View Lounge returned after a six-year closure.

That left exactly one restaurant untouched. Grand Floridian Cafe has gone without a significant redo far longer than anything else in the building, and it reads that way against the rest of the hotel, which now leans Victorian with a modern edge rather than country floral. Expect new carpet, curtains, furniture and detail work at minimum. Whether Disney weaves in any character theming is the open question, and if it does, the recent pattern at this resort suggests it will be subtle.
Disney's own construction bulletin for the resort sets the wider context:
Renovations at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa will continue in select areas, including the covered entrance, through early 2027. Guests may see or hear work during daytime hours and may need to take alternative routes.
The same bulletin carries a piece of holiday news that will land harder with some guests than the restaurant closure. There will be no traditional large gingerbread house in the Grand Floridian lobby this year. Disney is replacing it with miniature gingerbread displays placed throughout the resort, citing the need to keep the lobby flowing for resort guests. For a display that has been a December pilgrimage for Walt Disney World visitors since the 1990s, that is a real change to the holiday season on the monorail loop.
The Buzz
Grand Floridian Cafe has a loyal following out of proportion to its price tier. It is the mid-range table service option at a resort otherwise stacked with signature dining, it is a short monorail hop from Magic Kingdom, and its brunch has been a fixture of Walt Disney World trip plans for years. A reopening date landing in the first week of November, right before Jersey Week and the start of the Christmas season, puts it back in service for one of the busiest stretches of the year at this hotel.
Book November 2 Now, but Treat It as Provisional
If a Grand Floridian Cafe dinner matters to your trip, the reservation is live now and every slot on the first day is open. That will not last: the combination of a reopening date, a redone dining room and the run-up to the holidays is the sort of thing that clears an ADR calendar quickly.

Just book it knowing Disney has not confirmed anything. Until Walt Disney World publishes an actual announcement, and given the scale of this project it probably will, November 2 is a strong inference rather than a promise. Keep a backup in mind, and keep an eye on whether breakfast and lunch reappear on the calendar in the weeks ahead.
