The Diamond Horseshoe Reopens October 4 With Six Small Plates and a Full Frontier Bar
Walt Disney World has revealed the complete food and drink lineup for the limited-time pop-up taking over The Diamond Horseshoe in Liberty Square. The saloon reopens October 4 with shareable plates, ten specialty drinks and a seasonal holiday cocktail, and Advance Dining Reservations open September 29.

The Diamond Horseshoe is coming back to life. Walt Disney World has published the full menu for the limited-time pop-up taking over the Liberty Square saloon at Magic Kingdom, and it is a genuine departure from anything the venue has served in years: six shareable small plates, four house sodas and lemonades, five cocktails, a seasonal holiday pour, three wines and three drafts. The pop-up opens October 4, 2026, with Advance Dining Reservations opening September 29.

What Is Opening at The Diamond Horseshoe
This is a limited-time concept rather than a permanent restaurant reinvention, and the menu reads that way; it is built around shareable frontier fare instead of the family-style platters the venue has leaned on for most of the past decade. The headline dishes are the Sweet Golden Corn Fritters, served with cilantro ranch dressing and red chili honey, and the Queso Fundido with Barbecue Burnt Ends, served with warm tortilla chips.

Six plates is a compact menu by Magic Kingdom table-service standards, but the composition is telling. There is no entrée, no protein plated for one person, and no dessert listed at all. Everything is built to land in the middle of a table, which suits a room that has always worked best as a place to sit down with a group and get out of the Florida heat.

Non-Alcoholic Drinks Anyone Can Order
The zero-proof list is unusually strong for a Magic Kingdom lounge, and three of the four are built on familiar fountain brands given a twist:
- Orange Cream Soda: Fanta Orange with vanilla and cream
- Caramel Root Beer with Sweet Cream: Barq's Root Beer flavored with caramel and topped with sweet cream
- Enchanting Ember Lemonade: Minute Maid Premium Lemonade, strawberry and hot honey
- Enchanted Grove Lime Splash: Minute Maid Limeade, cucumber and mint

Cocktails, Wine and Draft Beer
Magic Kingdom's relationship with alcohol is still the most restricted of the four Walt Disney World theme parks, for decades you could not buy a drink here at all outside of Be Our Guest Restaurant, and the list has only widened gradually. A five-cocktail menu plus a seasonal pour is a meaningful addition to that short list.

- Whinnyin' Whiskey Lemonade: Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey, Aperol liqueur, strawberry purée, Minute Maid Premium Lemonade and basil
- Cactus Rose Margarita: LALO Blanco Tequila, prickly pear, lime and agave
- High Plains Huckleberry: 44° North Mountain Huckleberry Vodka, crème de cassis liqueur, lemon juice and cranberry
- Rattler Rum Punch: Bacardí Superior Rum, orange, pineapple, lime and passion fruit, garnished with a sweet-and-spicy rim
- Coal'd Fashioned: Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon, Mr. Black Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur, cinnamon syrup, orange bitters and Angostura bitters
- In Holiday Fashion (seasonal), Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon, rosemary syrup, cranberry and cinnamon
Wine is a tight three-bottle list: Nino Franco Rustico Prosecco for sparkling, Fess Parker Riesling for white and MacMurray Estate Pinot Noir for red. Draft beer covers Samuel Adams Boston Lager, Yuengling Traditional Lager and Tampa's Cigar City Jai Alai IPA.
Why This Matters for a Room That Has Struggled
The Diamond Horseshoe has been Magic Kingdom's most restless dining room. It has cycled through quick service, family-style feasts, a la carte service and seasonal-only operation, and in recent years it functioned largely as an extension of neighboring Liberty Tree Tavern, sharing a kitchen and serving an all-you-care-to-enjoy spread. Right now the space is hosting Jessie's Roundup as part of Cool Kids' Summer, which runs through September 8, 2026, before the venue closes for its refresh.

A distinct menu with its own identity (rather than a second door onto the Liberty Tree Tavern kitchen) is the most interesting thing to happen to this saloon in a long time. It also arrives at a moment when Frontierland and Liberty Square are in flux, with Big Thunder Mountain Railroad back after its long refurbishment and construction on Piston Peak National Park and the Disney Villains land continuing behind the walls just beyond.
Book September 29 for an October 4 Opening
The practical takeaway is a two-date one. Advance Dining Reservations open September 29, 2026, and the pop-up begins serving October 4, 2026: four days after Magic Kingdom's anniversary weekend, when the park is already busy. Anything new at Walt Disney World books out fast in its opening weeks, so treat September 29 as the date that actually matters.

Two scheduling notes worth writing down: the pop-up will not operate during Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party nights, but it will be available during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party: which is where that seasonal In Holiday Fashion cocktail comes in. As always, offerings are subject to change and availability.
