EPCOT's Germany Train Garden Gets Its Own Miniature Food & Wine Booths, Down to the Utensil Dispensers
The model village in EPCOT's Germany pavilion has been dressed for the 2026 Food & Wine Festival with miniature versions of the real festival booths, tiny themed trash cans and Cast Member figurines. A Linguini figure pushing a cake marked 30 nods to the festival's anniversary.

The miniature village in EPCOT's Germany pavilion has been dressed for the 2026 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, and not with the token banners of years past. The Germany Train Garden now has its own scaled-down festival, complete with recreations of the real marketplace booths, tiny themed trash cans, and figurines standing in as Cast Members and guests.
The Buzz
This one is spreading fast through the Walt Disney World fan community because it is the kind of detail nobody was told about. The train garden was refreshed quietly, the festival decorations appeared without announcement, and the payoff (a Linguini figure pushing a 30th anniversary cake) is small enough that it only surfaces when someone crouches down and looks.
A Festival Inside the Festival
In previous years the train garden's festival participation amounted to a few small banners. This year it has been built out properly. A row of miniature booths now lines the model town square, each one modelled on a marketplace guests can actually visit a few steps away in World Showcase.
The Japan booth appears in miniature with its own themed trash can and a round standing table. The detail runs further than it has any need to: there are itty-bitty utensil dispensers on the tables, the same fixtures guests reach for while balancing a plate and a plastic wine glass in the full-size version.
Further along the row sit small-scale versions of Bramblewood Bites and the Greece marketplace, again with themed trash cans, tables and utensil dispensers. The figurines around them have been dressed to read as Cast Members and guests rather than generic villagers. The last booth in the line is Hawai'i, where a Cast Member figurine is captured mid-transaction, handing a DOLE Whip to a guest.

The town square itself has been decorated too, with banners, signs and trash cans carrying festival theming.
The Linguini Easter Egg and the 30th Anniversary Nod
The standout is outside the France booth, where a figurine of Linguini from Ratatouille pushes a cart carrying a large cake topped with the number 30, a direct reference to the Food & Wine Festival's 30th anniversary. Beside it sits a mini flowerbed with a Food & Wine Festival sign and utensil decorations.

It is a neat piece of cross-pavilion wit: Linguini's own attraction, Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, is in the France pavilion further around the promenade, and here he is in the German model village pushing the anniversary cake.
What to Look For
- Where: Germany Train Garden, Germany pavilion, World Showcase, EPCOT
- Miniature booths: Japan, Bramblewood Bites, Greece and Hawai'i
- Easter eggs: Linguini with a 30th anniversary cake outside the France booth; a Dreamfinder figure elsewhere in the village
- Details worth crouching for: themed trash cans, standing tables, utensil dispensers, a DOLE Whip handoff
Why the Train Garden Was Ready for This
The decorations land on a garden that was recently refreshed by Walt Disney Imagineering, a refurbishment that added miniature versions of the Germany pavilion's own buildings and planted Easter eggs for long-time fans, including a nod to Dreamfinder, the original host of Journey Into Imagination and one of the most persistently requested characters in EPCOT's history.

The train garden has been one of World Showcase's quieter pleasures for decades, an outdoor model railway tucked beside the Germany pavilion that most guests walk straight past on their way to a pretzel. Giving it a seasonal layer changes what it is: not a static diorama, but something worth checking on each festival.
Go When the Crowd Thins, and Look Low
The practical advice is simple. The booths sit at ground level and the best details (the utensil dispensers, the DOLE Whip handoff, the number on Linguini's cake) are only readable from a crouch, which is difficult when the walkway beside Germany is three deep in the late afternoon. Morning, or the stretch after the evening show pulls the crowd toward the lagoon, is when the garden is actually viewable. The 2026 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival runs daily, so there is a long window to catch it, but whether these decorations return for a 31st festival is entirely unknown.
