Character Encounters Across the Full Pixar Lineup
Throughout the day, guests aboard the Disney Fantasy will have opportunities to meet characters from some of Pixar's most beloved films. Character greetings include favorites from Toy Story, Monsters, Inc., The Incredibles, and Inside Out, as well as Miguel from Coco, Remy from Ratatouille, and Dug and Russell from Up. Adding to the atmosphere, ship-wide guest announcements from Dug, Dory, Edna Mode, and Roz will play throughout the day.
Top Deck Festivities: Crush's Pool Party and the Pixar Pals Celebration
The upper decks of the Disney Fantasy come alive with Pixar-themed events throughout the sailing day. Crush's Totally Awesome Pool Party puts the fan-favorite sea turtle front and center for poolside games and interactive moments, with additional surprise activations scattered across the upper decks. As the afternoon winds down, the Pixar Pals Celebration — an interactive high-energy deck party — brings together a broad lineup of Pixar characters for an evening celebration.
An Incredible Deck Party and Fireworks Finale
The evening culminates with An Incredible Deck Party: Celebrate the Supers, in which Mr. Incredible, Mrs. Incredible, and Frozone receive a smooth sailing award — until Jack-Jack is discovered loose aboard the ship. The resulting sequence, packed with action and surprises, ends with a full fireworks finale above the deck.
Family Activities Throughout the Day
Beyond the headline events, Pixar Day at Sea offers an extensive menu of themed activities for all ages. Guests can meet Pixar storytellers, participate in character drawing sessions, and screen the films behind the celebration. Activity highlights include:
- Dory's Memory Game — test recall skills with the forgetful fish
- Inside Out Game Show — an emotions-themed interactive game
- Sarge Says — become an honorary member of the Green Army Patrol
- Anyone Can Cook — make Remy's signature dish, Ratatouille
- Monsters, Inc. Open Mike Nite — take the stage with jokes
- Kids-focused activities: making music with Miguel (Coco), chilling out with Ian (Onward), and building a custom Forky (Toy Story 4)
What This Means for Disney Cruise Line Guests
Pixar Day at Sea represents one of the most character-dense themed events Disney Cruise Line has assembled on a single sailing day, drawing from across Pixar's full catalog rather than a single franchise. Guests on any of the nine seven-night sailings beginning January 7 on the Disney Fantasy will experience the complete event. Additional details on dining — including a teased Toy Story-themed breakfast — are expected ahead of the launch. Browse upcoming sailings at DisneyCruise.com.
