How to use this calendar
Every park below shows the twelve months side by side, coloured by crowd level and labelled with the average posted wait for that month — the lower the number, the lighter the crowds. Months we have not recorded yet are left blank rather than filled with an estimate, so the gaps you see are real gaps in our record, not quiet months at the park.
Crowd levels are relative to each park: a “low” month at Magic Kingdom still has longer waits than a “low” month at a smaller park, so always read the minutes, not just the colour. On the interactive calendar you can open any month to see a day-by-day grid that blends recorded days with same-weekday predictions. Water parks work differently — Disney does not post numeric waits for slides, so their seasonality is shown through operating hours and refurbishment closures instead.
Where this data comes from
GenieGrove records the official posted wait times for every tracked attraction at every Walt Disney World park, throughout each operating day. A month’s number is the average of those posted waits across the park’s attractions during park hours. No third-party crowd index is involved — the calendar reflects what Disney itself reported.
A month has to carry at least 14 recorded days before we will call it a park’s lowest or highest. Months below that are still plotted, tagged with how many days sit behind them, and left out of the ranking entirely. Our record currently starts partway through March 2026, which is exactly the kind of part-month that would otherwise take a “best month to visit” crown on a week of data.
