Key Details
- Update: A Hero's Journey (free)
- Release Date: June 3, 2026
- New Realm: Phil's training island
- New Villagers: Hercules and Phil
- New Star Path: Godly Glamor
- Player Level Cap: Raised from 40 to 50
Developer Gameloft shared a first look at the update in its latest Developer Update video before detailing the full patch notes.
A New Realm, a New Hero
To begin A Hero's Journey, players need only have the Dream Castle unlocked. Stepping through a new Realm door leads to a training island owned by the wise satyr Phil — but the once-illuminated island has been severely dimmed, hinting at the Realmweaver's handiwork. Players must train and prove themselves worthy of being a hero to light the island once again.
Joining forces with Hercules, players reach the gods and restore Phil's island to its former glory. After displaying their heroic wits, they can invite Herc back to the Valley, with Phil following soon after a little extra convincing. Placing Hercules's house unlocks the duo's individual Friendship Quests and rewards.
The Godly Glamor Star Path
The new Godly Glamor Star Path lets players channel their inner deity with radiant attire and ancient furniture. Progressing through the path unlocks:
- Mythical Cloud Glider
- Pink Baby Pegasus
- Hercules' Divine Glow Dream Style
- Olympian Cloud Mansion House Style
Returning and New Events
- Dreamlight Parks Fest Event returns June 10–30 — collect buttons appearing around the Valley to earn previous and new rewards.
- Picture Pursuit Event debuts July 15–28 — complete daily Villager quests and photograph strange motifs to unlock them and earn an exclusive Photo Mode frame.
Premium Shop and Store Refreshes
The Premium Shop gets a fresh look alongside the new Hercules Bundle (Gilded Agora Building Kit, Grecian Villa House Style, and a "good-good-good" puppy companion). Jasmine's loyal tiger Rajah arrives in the Cozy Companion Rajah Bundle, with unique interactions with Aladdin and Jasmine, Photo Mode poses, a friendship reward, and a Tiger Cub companion. The shop also adds a new Dream Style for Ariel, a Moana parade float, mount accessories, and limited-time seasonal Moonstone packs. Scrooge McDuck's General Store now rotates brand-new clothing and furniture weekly, including the Regal Printed Skirt, Firework Waistcoat, Crown of Helios, Grecian Stone Bench, and Golden Shores Suit. (The Apple Arcade Edition does not include seasonal Star Paths or the Premium Shop.)
Improvements Across the Valley
DreamSnaps
The update removes the limit on skips during DreamSnaps voting, giving players full freedom over which photos they vote for.
Decoration Presets
A headline new feature, Decoration Presets works alongside Group Mode to let players select a section of their Valley and save the items inside as a Preset — making it easy to remove, copy, and replace decorated sections. If a player doesn't own enough of an item to complete a saved Preset, a highlighted placeholder called a Mirage stands in; interacting with it lets the player buy or craft the missing items and place them instantly.
Olaf's Grand Exhibition
Olaf's Grand Exhibition opens two new rooms — the Forest of Valor and the Glade of Trust — plus general improvements:
- Transparencies for needed items on each Keyhole
- A list of names for each item needed in the description section
- Tracking Keyholes now observe the Backpack instead of global storage
- Unreleased rooms now display a "Coming Soon" note
Photo Mode
New Villager Poses let players choose exactly where and how to place Villagers, which attitude animations they use, and whether to pause mid-animation. The long-range/free Camera view has also been improved for more flexibility.
Player Level and Critters
The player level cap rises from 40 to 50, with more Friendship XP levels unlocking exclusive fashions and furniture. Several rarer critters now have simplified all-day schedules to make them easier to find:
- White Squirrel — All Day (Sundays)
- Calico Rabbit — All Day (Thursdays)
- Black Sea Turtle — All Day (Mondays)
- Blue Raccoon — All Day (Wednesdays)
- White Crocodile — All Day (Sundays) | Pink Crocodile — All Day (Saturdays)
- Orchid Sunbird — All Day (Fridays)
- Red Fox — All Day (Saturdays)
- Brown Raven — All Day (Tuesdays)
- Black and Gray Monkey — All Day (Tuesdays)
- Red and White Striped Capybara — All Day (Saturdays)
- Green and White Striped Cobra — All Day (Thursdays)
("All day" runs 0:00 to 23:59 local time.) Scrooge's Store also has improved spawn odds for unowned items, offering more variety between Villages and better daily rotation.
