Storyliving by Disney Opens Artisan Club at Cotino in Rancho Mirage
Cotino, the first Storyliving by Disney community, has welcomed its first residents and opened the Artisan Club, a members-only hub on Cotino Bay featuring Parr House, a venue inspired by Pixar's Incredibles 2. Walt Disney Imagineering also announced the fall 2026 opening of Cotino Bay Beach, Dining and Shops, the town center with restaurants, retail and beach access.

The first Storyliving by Disney community, Cotino, is coming to life in Rancho Mirage, California, just minutes from Palm Springs. After welcoming its first residents last year, the community has opened the Artisan Club and revealed the first tenants for its upcoming town center.
Residents are discovering the same sense of wonder and tranquility that made the Coachella Valley a cherished retreat for Walt Disney and his family.
"When thinking about the story we wanted to tell at Cotino, we were inspired by the idea of a creative oasis: a vibrant community where people can gather, create and share what they love, just like Walt did," said Caroline Boone, Walt Disney Imagineering Executive Creative Director.

Artisan Club and Parr House Anchor Daily Life at Cotino Bay

Now open, the Artisan Club is an optional membership offering for Cotino residents. It unlocks recreation and relaxation amenities along Cotino Bay, the turquoise centerpiece powered by Crystal Lagoons technology. Walt Disney Imagineering paired signature placemaking with mid-century modern architecture to reflect the desert setting, drawing on archival Disney artwork and pieces by local artists.

Members can access a signature restaurant and beach bar, a state-of-the-art gym, outdoor sports courts and two creative studios. The heart of the club is Parr House, a multi-purpose venue inspired by the hero family home in Disney and Pixar's Incredibles 2. Members can host events, celebrate milestones and even enjoy the occasional overnight stay for an additional fee.

"Parr House is an exaggerated version of mid-century modern architecture. Our goal was to heighten that aesthetic in a way that told an overtly Disney story while still fitting stylistically within the community," said Caleb Wild, Walt Disney Imagineering Senior Architect.

Disney-Inspired Wellness and a New Town Center in 2026

In collaboration with Optum, the Artisan Club offers health and wellness programming curated by Walt Disney Imagineers with classes that channel beloved franchises: Moana Breathwork on the shores of Cotino Bay, Encanto Latin Dance Cardio inspired by the Madrigal family, Incredibles Super Circuit, Villain Era Power Sculpt, and Stitch and Splash paddleboard workouts.

Anticipated to open in fall 2026, the Cotino Bay Beach, Dining and Shops town center will welcome residents and visitors with premier dining, shopping and beach access (for a fee). Initial tenants include restaurant Elevare, locally owned On the Mark Fine Foods and Provisions, Khaga Yoga, and the first U.S. location of Canadian specialty coffee shop Artigiano.
"Our vision for Cotino Bay Beach, Dining and Shops goes beyond a new development, we're creating a vibrant new destination the entire region can enjoy," said Claire Bilby, senior vice president and general manager of Disney Signature Experiences Emerging Businesses.
