EPCOT's Voices of Liberty a cappella ensemble marked Presidents' Day with rare Echo Set performances in the American Adventure Pavilion rotunda, featuring two full groups performing simultaneously across both floors lit in patriotic red, white, and blue. The ensemble has performed at EPCOT since 1982, and singer Aaron Stratton — a U.S. Marine Corps Reserve veteran — brings personal meaning to every patriotic performance. A 40-Year Legacy of American Song
Since debuting on October 1, 1982, the Voices of Liberty have served as the resident a cappella ensemble of the American Adventure Pavilion in EPCOT's World Showcase. The group performs in the pavilion's stately rotunda, delivering American folk songs and patriotic anthems that have become a cornerstone of the immersive experience millions of guests have enjoyed since the attraction opened. Their performances combine masterful vocal harmonics with a genuine reverence for American history that resonates with guests from around the world.

The Presidents' Day Echo Set Performance
On Presidents' Day, visiting guests were treated to a special programming addition: the Voices of Liberty Echo Sets. Offered only on select patriotic occasions, the Echo Sets bring two full groups of Voices of Liberty performers together simultaneously — one on the first floor of the rotunda, one on the second — for a moving finale where sound fills the entire space. Special songs performed included "Golden Dream" and "This Land is Your Land."
Singer Aaron Stratton, who has been with the Voices of Liberty for more than a decade, reflected on the power of those moments: "Joy is at the heart of everything we sing. When someone in the audience truly connects with what we're sharing, it energizes us. Sometimes we become emotional, but most of all, it inspires us to dive deeper and deliver the message to its fullest potential."
A Marine Corps Veteran Behind the Microphone
Aaron's story adds another layer to the performance. Before joining the Voices of Liberty, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves. When he joined the group in 2013, his older brother was deployed in Afghanistan, and certain songs carried especially profound meaning. "I don't take lightly that we're considered hosts here at EPCOT," Aaron explained. "I love meeting people from across the U.S. and around the world. Some guests come from countries where patriotism isn't widely expressed, yet they enjoy being part of our celebration of American history."

The Tech Team That Lights the Rotunda
Behind every Echo Set is a team of entertainment technicians who transform the pavilion's rotunda into a patriotic spectacle. Tech planner Patrick Lienemann described what makes the Echo Set so memorable: "You have twice the Voices of Liberty — a full cast on the first floor and another on the second. For the big finale, the lights brighten to make the moment feel extra special, and as the singers step forward, the sound fills the rotunda dome. It's absolutely incredible."
Patrick is himself a veteran, and the meaning of his work runs deeper than the technical craft alone: "Being part of the tech team at EPCOT during America's 250th celebration is incredible on its own, but for me, it goes even deeper. As a veteran, there's something about it that really touches home — it makes you feel good, makes you feel remembered. And honestly, it's magical."

Part of a Larger Disney Celebrates America Story
The Voices of Liberty performances are one piece of Disney's broader Disney Celebrates America initiative, which marks the United States' 250th anniversary with programming, storytelling, and experiences through July 4, 2026. The Echo Sets will also perform on Memorial Day, Flag Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, and Veterans Day. Guests visiting EPCOT's American Adventure Pavilion can check the daily entertainment schedule to find out when the next performance is scheduled.
