Star Wars: The Old Republic's Game Update 7.9 'Legacy Reborn' is now live, delivering the finale of the Legacy of the Sith storyline at Khar Shian, the launch of 16-week PvP Season 10, companion and intro-mission quality-of-life changes, and new Mandalorian and Grogu-inspired Cartel Market items.

Star Wars: The Old Republic has launched Game Update 7.9 "Legacy Reborn," delivering the finale of the long-running Legacy of the Sith storyline alongside the start of PvP Season 10, meaningful quality-of-life changes, and fresh Cartel Market offerings inspired by The Mandalorian and Grogu.

The Finale of Legacy of the Sith

The "Legacy Reborn" storyline closes out the Legacy of the Sith arc. With the help of a traitorous ally, Darth Jadus has stolen Darth Nul's holocron — the key to her Force masterworks — and is bound for Khar Shian, where Heta Kol and the Hidden Chain have reconstructed Darth Nul's ultimate machine. Malgus and Shae Vizla are also converging on the Sith moon, each pursuing their own agenda.

The climactic battle at Khar Shian introduces multiple perspectives, with unique gameplay that lets players step into the roles of specific allies as they prepare for a final showdown near the forgotten fortress of the Dark Lord of the Sith, Naga Sadow. The studio also noted a localization caveat: at launch, players on French or German clients can play "Legacy Reborn" with English voices and subtitles in their native language, with French and German voice recordings to follow.

Quality-of-Life Improvements

Update 7.9 brings several player-requested refinements. The Companion Locator Terminal functionality has been folded into the Companions & Contacts window under a new "Ineligible for Story" tab, giving players a clear choice about whether to use narratively unavailable companions — including any removed through story progression or player choices. With this change, the standalone Locator Terminal is being disabled.

The intro mission "Wreckage on Dantooine" also received cleaner onboarding for hazards, the ability to skip the mission on repeat playthroughs, and reduced requirements for zone progression. PvP Season 10 "Honor in Battle" launches alongside 7.9 and runs for 16 weeks. New rewards on the table include:

• Honorbound, Beholden, Loyalist Contender, and Honorable Combatant armor sets
• Two unique decorations
• The "Honorable by Nature" Legacy title and a "[Character name] the Loyal" title
• Knightly Dark and Knightly Light flairs
• A PvP Season 10 Trophy Decoration (Small & Large) and Red & Blue flags

On the events side, the summer favorite Nar Shaddaa Nightlife returns June 30 and runs through August 11, with two new themed decorations to earn. The Cartel Market has added items inspired by Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu and Naga Sadow, and an active Twitch Drop grants the Nightshade Hssiss Mount to anyone who watches four hours of live content through June 30.
