'Reborn: Ultimate Impact' #1 Debuts Hostilicus and a New Wonder Man

The Ultimate Universe may be winding down in Ultimate Endgame, but its legacy is about to explode across the main Marvel Universe. Reborn: Ultimate Impact, launching in May from writer Chris Condon and artist Stefano Caselli, sends the mysterious Origin Boxes into Earth-616 and introduces a full roster of brand-new heroes and villains.

The Origin Boxes are weapons the Maker created to strip heroes of their destinies in the new Ultimate Universe. Now, following Miles Morales' trip through that reality in Ultimate Spider-Man: Incursion, the Boxes are in Spider-Man's hands—and whoever opens one gains the powers of the hero or villain inside. Meet the New Characters Crashing Into Earth-616

Condon introduced the lineup in an interview with Marvel.com. Hostilicus is a fanatical warrior leader and descendant of Annihilus, belonging to the Cult of Annihilus that is locked in an eternal war with Blastaar's Children. He wears petrified pieces of Annihilus himself into battle. Sightseer can see beyond the veil, Mogul is an unstoppably persuasive media executive, and the new Wonder Man hails from Condon's own home state of New Jersey.
