May 20 New Marvel Comics: Ultimate Impact Reborn #1, Wolverine Goes to Armageddon, and the New Future Foundation
This week's Marvel Comics slate is anchored by Ultimate Impact: Reborn #1, which spills the Ultimate Universe's reality-shaping Origin Boxes into the main 616. Plus, Wolverine: Weapons of Armageddon #4 sets up the next Avengers epic, Fantastic Four #11 introduces a new Future Foundation, and Venom #258 brings a long-overdue Mary Jane / Peter Parker heart-to-heart. Here's the full list of new comics, collections, and Marvel Unlimited drops for May 20, 2026.

The Ultimate Universe's reality-warping influence officially bleeds into the main Marvel Universe this week as ULTIMATE IMPACT: REBORN (2026) #1 hits stands, headlining a stacked May 20 slate that also pushes Wolverine toward Armageddon, introduces a new Future Foundation, and forces Venom and Spider-Man into one last piece of unfinished business.
Ultimate Impact: Reborn #1 — The Big Bang of the Week
Miles Morales returned from the Ultimate Universe with a plan: safeguard the Origin Boxes — catalysts for the creation of new super heroes — before they fall into the wrong hands. The secret is out in ULTIMATE IMPACT: REBORN (2026) #1, as Miles' battle over the boxes engulfs the entire Marvel U.
Writer Chris Condon and artist Stefano Caselli team up to create stunning new characters on both sides of a conflict that, in Marvel's framing, will shape the future of the 616. It's the most ambitious crossover seed Marvel has planted since the Ultimate Universe relaunch in 2024, and the kind of issue that typically becomes a long-tail back-issue chase years after the fact.
Wolverine Heads to Armageddon
Chip Zdarsky and Luca Maresca's WOLVERINE: WEAPONS OF ARMAGEDDON (2026) #4 launches the Marvel Universe into Armageddon. All of the pieces are falling together: PrimeWarrior's attempt to create the next great super-soldier has brought together some of the past's greatest successes — from Wolverine to Nuke to David Colton, A.K.A. Captain America.
As the final puzzle piece clicks into place, the stage is set for the next Avengers epic. Wolverine must make a choice with ramifications for the entire Marvel Universe — a setup that has "sets up the next big crossover" written all over it.
Fantastic Four #11 — Meet the New Future Foundation
Meanwhile, readers meet the new Future Foundation in FANTASTIC FOUR (2025) #11 by Ryan North and Pat Boutin. The Invincible Woman has been defeated — but what comes next? And how can the Fantastic Four be ready for it, especially when they can't actually agree on what the future looks like?
To make matters worse, Doom's technology is now making its way into the world at large, including into the hands of two-bit criminals wholly unprepared for its might. The Future Foundation returns alongside a two-story A.I.M. plot of destruction from years ago, the Fantastic Four contend with the return of the Crimeasaurus Rex, and there's a special bonus story by award-winning writer-artist Stan Sakai.
Venom #258 — Mary Jane and Peter, Finally
Three's a crowd in Al Ewing and Carlos Gomez's VENOM (2025) #258. In the aftermath of Death Spiral, Mary Jane Watson and Peter Parker have a long-overdue heart-to-heart — but when the masks go on, Venom and Spider-Man have some unfinished business. Either way, the issue promises a big change for Venom and MJ.
Imperial Guardians #3 and Sorcerer Supreme #6
Across the cosmos, the fallout of Imperial (2025) continues in IMPERIAL GUARDIANS (2026) #3 by Dan Abnett and Marcelo Ferreira. A Kymellian mathematician has just developed the ultimate decryption algorithm — but for Galactic Union security reasons, that can't be allowed to happen.
Maximus of the Inhumans dispatches his Imperial Guardians — Gamora, Captain Marvel, Amadeus Cho, Darkhawk, and Cosmic Ghost Rider — for a cleanup operation. Trouble is, the Shi'ar Empire wants the algorithm too and has tasked its Superguardians to retrieve it.
Then, Steve Orlando, Bernard Chang, and Von Randal's SORCERER SUPREME (2025) #6 dreams up a mother's nightmare. When Wanda journeys to the Far Realms to confront the In-Betweener, she receives an S.O.S. from Somnus, the King of Dreams. Nightmare has taken her son Wiccan hostage, and Wanda and Somnus must fight through his dreamscape to get him back — but this is one nightmare they may not be waking up from.

What This Means for Marvel Fans
If you're picking just one comic this week, it's hard to argue against ULTIMATE IMPACT: REBORN #1 — Marvel rarely tees up a #1 issue with this much line-wide setup, and the Origin Box mechanic is the kind of high-concept reality-shaping device that historically drives multi-year crossovers. Pair it with WOLVERINE: WEAPONS OF ARMAGEDDON #4 if you want to see how Marvel's next Avengers epic gets its kickoff.
