Marvel Rivals May 28 Patch Adds Alchemax Headquarters Map, Chrono-Rush Event, and a Blood Hunt Rebalance

The Marvel Rivals update arriving May 28, 2026 brings the Nueva York 2099 Alchemax Headquarters Doom Match map, the uncapped Chrono-Rush token event, and a sweeping Blood Hunt balance pass across Punisher, Thor, Blade, and more. A new anti-cheat system also refunds Ranked Points lost to verified cheaters.

Marvel Rivals May 28 Patch Adds Alchemax Headquarters Map, Chrono-Rush Event, and a Blood Hunt Rebalance

The next Marvel Rivals update lands May 28, 2026 at 09:00 UTC with no server downtime — and it is a stacked one. The patch debuts a brand-new Alchemax Headquarters Doom Match map set in Nueva York 2099, kicks off the weekend-long Chrono-Rush event, and rolls out a sweeping wave of Blood Hunt balance changes alongside a new anti-cheat refund system.

Key Details

New Map: Alchemax Headquarters

The update transports players to Nueva York, 2099, home of Alchemax — the ruthless mega-corporation running secret, timeline-bending experiments behind closed doors. To shut down their Incursion for good, Devil Dinosaur crashes the headquarters carrying a portable Timestream Reintegration Device (TRD), dragging the company's darkest secrets into the light. The map launches in Doom Match mode.

Chrono-Rush Event and Store Drops

The TVA is working overtime. The Chrono-Rush event rewards players with uncapped Chrono Tokens just for playing matches — the more you play, the more you earn. It runs across four weekend windows:

On the cosmetics front, the headliner is the Black Cat — Wild Card Bundle (available May 29 to June 26, 2026). It is joined from May 29 by the Wolverine — X-2099 Bundle, Black Cat Wild Card Chromas (Purple Prowl and Pink Purr), Wild Card Style Parts for the head, neck, and waist, and a Black Cat emoji bundle.

Daredevil's Shadowed Start Gets Two Free Options

Responding to community love for Matt Murdock's Shadowed Start costume, the team is adding two customization options this week — both free, and automatically granted to anyone who owns the costume. The default weapon switches to the White Billy Club (the Black Billy Club becomes an optional swap), and players can now toggle off the "Demon's Rage" flame VFX on their own screen, though other players will still see the flames.

Blood Hunt Balance Overhaul

The marquee gameplay change is a massive wave of stat adjustments built specifically for Blood Hunt mode, with the Nightmare difficulty cap raised to 200. Here is how the roster is being tuned to push back the night:

The Punisher

Moon Knight

Squirrel Girl

Blade

Jeff the Land Shark

Thor

A Weekend Surge: Double XP bonus is also active across the same four weekend windows as Chrono-Rush, helping players level up the roster faster.

Anti-Cheat Rank Compensation

A new Anti-Cheat Rank Compensation System begins its trial run this week. Successfully report a verified cheater in your match and you will be fully refunded all Ranked Points lost that game — though Placement Matches, which award no points, are excluded.

Fixes and Optimizations

On the bug-fix side, Deadpool's Hazardous Hijinks/Healing Hijinks dash no longer gets body-blocked by enemies without dealing damage, so Wade's katanas are back to slicing and dicing through the crowd.

What This Means for Players

Between a new map, an uncapped token-grinding event, a roster-wide Blood Hunt rebalance, and a cheater-refund safety net, this is one of the more feature-dense Marvel Rivals drops in recent months. With no downtime required, players can jump straight into Alchemax Headquarters the moment the patch goes live on May 28.
