Marvel Rivals March 26 Balance Post Reins In Deadpool, Buffs White Fox
The latest Marvel Rivals balance pass puts a 0.5-second cooldown on Deadpool's Bunny Hop refresh, trims Elsa Bloodstone's health, and gives White Fox meaningful survivability buffs centered on her Spirit Tail kit.
Wade Wilson has been breaking the physics engine, and NetEase is finally putting a tiny leash on him. The March 26 Marvel Rivals balance post lands targeted nerfs on Deadpool's wildest parkour tech, trims Elsa Bloodstone's durability, and hands White Fox the kind of survivability boost that could reshape the Strategist pool.
Deadpool: Bunny Bounce Finally Gets a Leash
Top Deadpool players had been stacking Kick@$$ Katanas → Hazardous Hijinks → Bunny Hop into a rapid-cycle burst combo that relied on extreme input timing. NetEase is targeting that specific sequence rather than gutting the character's feel.
Deadpool Changes
- Mobility slightly reduced to limit extreme input cycling
- Bunny Bounce (Vanguard), Bunny Hop (Duelist) and Healing Hop (Strategist) now have a 0.5-second cooldown after a successful refresh
- The cooldown won't show on the ability icon because it's so short
As the dev note puts it: "This change will limit the burst potential of these extreme maneuvers while having almost no impact on players using normal inputs." Casual Deadpool mains shouldn't notice anything; tournament-level merc abusers definitely will.
Elsa Bloodstone Takes a Durability Hit
Elsa's base health drops from 275 to 250. That's a real shift — it pushes her further into the "squishy hunter" archetype and forces her players to lean harder into agility and firepower rather than out-trading opponents at close range. Given the meta presence she's had across Season 6.5, this reads as a correction rather than a pivot.
White Fox: A Real Strategist Glow-Up
Ami Han is the big winner this patch. White Fox's kit has been smoothed out around her signature Kumiho mechanics, and her baseline survivability is noticeably stronger.
- Respawning or exiting Kumiho Unleashed now grants full stacks of Spirit Tail energy
- Spectral Surge now heals White Fox for 50 on cast
- Spirit Sanctuary's one-time heal drops from 70 to 50, but the shield now provides 20 HPS healing over time to allies (and White Fox) inside it
- During Kumiho Unleashed, Blessed by the Nine no longer costs White Fox health, but gains a 2-second cooldown
What This Means for the Meta
The White Fox changes are the most interesting pieces of this patch. Turning her shield into a sustained HoT beacon gives her a real role in sustained fights, and removing the self-damage penalty on Blessed by the Nine during her Ultimate means she can actually stay in the fight instead of fading out during her power window. Pair that with the Deadpool leash and the slight Elsa trim and the patch reads as a "trim the outliers, elevate the underdogs" pass — the kind of measured balance work that the community has been asking for.
