Marvel Rivals April 2 Patch Drops Lower Manhattan Map, Wonder Man Times Square Premiere
Marvel Rivals' April 2, 2026 update collides Alchemax 2099 with Lower Manhattan as a brand-new map, puts Wonder Man Season 1 on the Times Square big screen, and adds Fantastic Four bundles with no server downtime.
Marvel Rivals is punching into April with a timeline incursion: the Alchemax Headquarters from the year 2099 has crash-landed in Lower Manhattan, turning the streets into a brand-new playable map. The patch goes live April 2, 2026 at 09:00 UTC with no server downtime — just update and jump in.
New Map: Lower Manhattan
The flavor text does a lot of work here — Alchemax's troops are "spreading like a plague" through the neighborhood, slowly converting the blocks into Nueva York, the cyberpunk New York most fans will recognize from Spider-Man 2099 comics and 2018's Into the Spider-Verse. Expect mixed verticality, tight alleyways and a battlefield that visibly corrupts as the match progresses.

Times Square Premiere: Wonder Man Season 1
NetEase is using the live Times Square screen inside the game as a marketing set piece for Marvel Television's Wonder Man series. Episodes 1 and 2 will loop back-to-back twice a day — 19:00 UTC and 03:00 UTC — which lines up to roughly 12 PM and 8 PM Pacific for players stateside. The existing Disco and Clobberin' Club live broadcasts aren't going anywhere; they'll shift over to the COMICS store screen so nothing gets bumped.
New Store Bundles
The First Family is back on the shop rotation. The Invisible Woman Debater Bundle (Riann Landau skin) and Mister Fantastic Professor Bundle (Danum Ket skin) drop April 3 and stick around for a month. There's also an ESU College emoji bundle and a new Debater costume chroma in Pine Opposition and Royal Blue Rebuttal colors.
- Invisible Woman – Riann Landau: The Debater Bundle (April 3 – May 1)
- Mister Fantastic – Danum Ket: The Professor Bundle (April 3 – May 1)
- ESU College Emoji Bundle
- Debater Costume Chroma: Pine Opposition & Royal Blue Rebuttal
Fixes and Optimizations
The bug pass is smaller this patch but targets a couple of longstanding annoyances. Hawkeye's Ultimate no longer whiffs against the afterimages generated by White Fox's Kumiho Unleashed. Angela's Assassin's Charge dash effect will now properly clean up if the ability is interrupted at the moment of cast. Deadpool's role badge in match highlights will display correctly, and an edge case that locked players out of matchmaking after mid-battle maintenance has been resolved. The in-game voice changer also got an algorithm upgrade for a more natural sound.
What This Means for Marvel Rivals Players
Lower Manhattan is the headline — a new map is a bigger meta shift than any of the cosmetics around it, and the 2099 crossover gives NetEase an opening to keep rotating in more multiverse content. If you're chasing the Fantastic Four bundles, plan around the April 3 to May 1 window; the Wonder Man screening is a lower-stakes but genuinely fun reason to hang out in Times Square between matches. More importantly, the zero-downtime rollout is becoming NetEase's standard cadence, which is a nice quality-of-life win for a live service shooter.
