Marvel Contest of Champions Introduces Collectives: Full Cosmic Collective Rank 1-25 Rewards Breakdown

Kabam is rolling out a major new long-term progression system in Marvel Contest of Champions called Collectives — a 25-rank meta-track that layers permanent stat boosts, ability potency increases, exclusive emotes, and the brand-new Empowered Grace Crystals economy on top of any roster, regardless of class. The first Collective, Cosmic Collective, is launching with the INTERGALACTIC title series and a Profile Pic reward at Rank 25.

What Are Collectives?

Collectives are a stacked rank ladder — 25 tiers deep — where every level grants a permanent buff that applies to your full roster. Unlike Masteries, which trade points across a finite tree, Collectives only go up: every rank you complete is a permanent power increase that stays with your account forever. The launch theme is cosmic, and the rewards lean heavily on Class Advantage, Buff economy, and personal-debuff potency — meaning Cosmic Collective scales hardest for champions that already revolve around buffs and debuffs.

Cosmic Collective at a Glance

Full Cosmic Collective Rank Rewards

Ranks 1–5 — Foundation Tier

Ranks 6–10 — Critical Damage Tier

Ranks 11–15 — Pierce and Buff Synergy Tier

Ranks 16–20 — Aptitude and Combat Adrenaline Tier

Ranks 21–25 — Endgame Tier

Why This Matters

Two things stand out about Cosmic Collective. First, the buff-scaling capstones at Ranks 15, 20, and 25 are designed to reward champions that stack personal Buffs and personal debuffs — meaning Cosmic-class champions like Hyperion, Cosmic Ghost Rider, and Quasar will see disproportionate gains, even though the buffs apply universally. Second, the "With Class Advantage" conditional at Rank 9 turns Class Advantage from a passive multiplier into a meaningful active stat, which could shift defender placement at the highest tiers of war.

The Empowered Grace Crystals are a brand-new resource and likely the seed of a long-term economy — players accumulate crystals across all 25 ranks, with a Greater Empowered Grace Crystal as the capstone reward. Kabam hasn't fully detailed Crystal contents yet, but expect them to function similarly to other rank-up Crystals, with a chance at high-tier resources.

What This Means for Players

Collectives are clearly built to be the new Masteries-tier endgame chase — a permanent, account-wide progression system meant to live alongside summoner level, prestige, and roster rating. Cosmic Collective is the first; expect Tech, Mutant, Skill, Science, and Mystic Collectives to follow with their own thematic buffs. Ranking through the entire Cosmic ladder will take time, but the permanent stat gains and the prestige of an INTERGALACTIC V title make this one of the most consequential meta updates Contest of Champions has shipped in years.
