Marvel Comics May 13, 2026: Spectacular Spider-Man Brand New Day Returns, Doom's Ultimate Weapon, and Ultimate Endgame's Penultimate Issue
Marvel's May 13, 2026 release week kicks off with Spectacular Spider-Man: Brand New Day #1, which throws Peter Parker into a three-way war between Kingpin, Mr. Negative, and the Punisher over the Lexicon. The slate also includes Captain America #11's hunt for Doom's ultimate weapon, Uncanny X-Men #28, Black Cat #10, and the penultimate issue of Ultimate Endgame.

Spidey returns to the Brand New Day era this week as Marvel's May 13, 2026 slate puts Peter Parker in the crosshairs of three of his deadliest rivals — and that's before Doctor Doom's ultimate weapon, the Uncanny X-Men's newest mystery, and the penultimate chapter of Ultimate Endgame even hit the rack.
Spectacular Spider-Man: Brand New Day #1 Headlines the Week
In SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY (2026) #1, writer Dan Slott and artist Marcus To send Peter Parker after one of the Kingpin's most valuable possessions: the Lexicon, a master directory of Wilson Fisk's entire criminal empire. The catch — getting it puts the biggest target imaginable on Spider-Man's back.
Fisk isn't the only one chasing the Lexicon. Mr. Negative wants to gut his rival's organization, and Frank Castle sees an opportunity to take the whole underworld off the board. The result is a three-way war with Spidey in the middle, and Slott's first issue makes clear that "safer for the city" doesn't translate to "safer for Peter Parker."
Doom's Ultimate Weapon and the Road to Armageddon
Over in CAPTAIN AMERICA (2025) #11, Chip Zdarsky and Valerio Schiti push Steve Rogers toward a collision he's been dodging for months. Cap pauses his own mission to keep Doom's ultimate weapon out of both U.S. and Latverian hands — which puts him on a head-on path with the Red Skull. Zdarsky's run has been building toward Armageddon, and #11 is the issue that confirms it.
Uncanny X-Men, Black Cat, and Ultimate Endgame
The mutant side of the line continues to escalate. In UNCANNY X-MEN (2024) #28, Gail Simone and Luciano Vecchio bring the New Mutants into Rogue's orbit, leave the Outliers conspicuously missing, and finally reveal the identity of Graymalkin Prison's Inmate X — a mutant the book has been teasing as one of the most lethal characters in the X-line.
Meanwhile, G. Willow Wilson and Gleb Melnikov's BLACK CAT (2025) #10 sends Felicia Hardy and Venom on a do-over: if they could play their lives back from the start, what would change? Wilson's pitch promises "no clean getaways," which is exactly what a Black Cat book should promise.
And in the new Ultimate Universe, Deniz Camp, Terry Dodson, and Jonas Scharf push ULTIMATE ENDGAME (2025) #4 into its penultimate chapter. Spider-Man finally meets the Maker, and Camp has spent the entire run telegraphing that this is where heroes fall and villains take the lead going into the finale.

What to Watch For Next Week
Brand New Day #1 is the cornerstone, but the bigger signal this week is how aggressively Marvel is leaning into multi-book event cadence — Captain America, Uncanny X-Men, and Ultimate Endgame are all near climax simultaneously. Expect cliffhanger fallout from at least two of those issues to drive next Wednesday's release week as well.
