Marvel Comics April 22, 2026: Spider-Man/Superman Crossover Headlines Full Release List
Marvel Comics' April 22, 2026 slate is led by MARVEL/DC: SPIDER-MAN/SUPERMAN #1, a 50th-anniversary crossover drawn by Pepe Larraz with stories from Brad Meltzer, Dan Slott, Geoff Johns, Brian Michael Bendis, and more. The week also debuts Amazing Spider-Man: Spider-Versity, concludes the 'Death Spiral' arc, and launches a new Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge mini-series.

The comic book industry's most famous cross-publisher event is back. MARVEL/DC: SPIDER-MAN/SUPERMAN #1 headlines Marvel Comics' April 22, 2026 release slate, reuniting the Man of Steel and the Friendly Neighborhood Wall-Crawler fifty years after their original team-up — alongside the launch of Amazing Spider-Man: Spider-Versity, the brutal conclusion of "Death Spiral," and a new Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge mini-series.
Marvel and DC Reunite: Spider-Man/Superman #1
Fifty years ago, DC's Man of Steel met Marvel's friendly neighborhood wall-crawler and changed comics forever. This week's MARVEL/DC: SPIDER-MAN/SUPERMAN (2026) #1 marks that anniversary with an anthology of brand-new stories pitting the two universes' heroes — and villains — against one another across eras.
- Brad Meltzer and Pepe Larraz pit Spider-Man and Superman against Lex Luthor and Norman Osborn as their greatest villains exploit their greatest weaknesses.
- Dan Slott and Marcos Martin send Spider-Man Noir into the shadow-laden 1930s to encounter the original Golden Age Superman.
- Geoff Johns and Gary Frank throw the Super and Spider families together at Mysterio's invitation — but is their real foe an ally out of control?
- Jason Aaron and Russell Dauterman unleash a symbiote invasion on Metropolis as a new War of the Realms ignites.
- Steel co-creator Louise Simonson and artist Todd Nauck hammer out John Henry Irons' clash with the Hobgoblin.
- Joe Kelly and Humberto Ramos deliver a college crossover between Gwen Stacy and Lana Lang.
- Brian Michael Bendis and Sara Pichelli reunite to team Miles Morales with Superman.
Spider-Versity, Death Spiral's Ending, and More Big Beats
Outside the Marvel/DC crossover, Marvel's flagship Spider-Man lineup gets two major moments. In AMAZING SPIDER-MAN: SPIDER-VERSITY (2026) #1 by Jordan Morris and Pere Perez, Miles Morales, Spider-Gwen, Silk, Araña, Spider-Boy, and Spider-Girl find themselves drafted into a crash course with a very unlikely instructor: former Resolute Spider-Man Norman Osborn. The twist? The next threat they're training to face may well be the Green Goblin himself.
Meanwhile, "Death Spiral" reaches its brutal conclusion in THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN (2025) #27 from Joe Kelly with art by Carlos Gomez, Francesco Manna, and Ed McGuinness. Torment is set to get away with murder — unless Spider-Man does the unthinkable.
Elsewhere on the slate:
- CAPTAIN AMERICA (2025) #9 — Chip Zdarsky's march toward ARMAGEDDON has Steve Rogers going rogue with the Latverian Liberators to stop Salvation from becoming the next Doctor Doom.
- INFERNAL HULK (2025) #6 — Phillip Kennedy Johnson and Adam Gorham escalate to a full Iron Man strike force, Hellbuster Armor and all, to end the Age of Monsters.
- SORCERER SUPREME (2025) #5 — Steve Orlando and Bernard Chang send Wanda to the Dark Dimension as Dormammu returns with a new creation: the Blazing Hound.
- STAR WARS: GALAXY'S EDGE - ECHOES OF THE EMPIRE (2026) #1 — Ethan Sacks, Jethro Morales, and Roi Mercado send Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, and Chewbacca to Batuu on a collision course with the Empire.
