April 29 New Marvel Comics: Jubilee's Family Secret, Road to Armageddon, and Doom 2099 Headline This Week's Releases
This Wednesday's Marvel Comics slate centers on Jubilee's deadly family reunion, the penultimate chapter on the road to Armageddon with Captain America and Wolverine, and a Doom 2099 one-shot from Frank Tieri. Here's the full list of new comics, collections, and Marvel Unlimited releases for April 29, 2026.

This week's Marvel Comics slate is stacked. Jubilee stages a deadly family reunion in her own debut one-shot, Captain America and Wolverine march toward the climactic Armageddon event, Doctor Doom reckons with the apocalyptic fallout of his own spell in Doom 2099, and Ultimate Thor's deal with Surtur finally pays off — alongside more than two dozen other comics, collections, and Marvel Unlimited releases hitting on Wednesday, April 29, 2026.
This Week's Headliner: Jubilee Gets a Deadly Reunion
Jubilation Lee always puts her life on the line for those in need — but for family, she'll do anything. When the cousin she never knew is suddenly in danger, Jubilee tracks him down to save him in JUBILEE: DEADLY REUNION (2026) #1. But familial bonds aren't always what they seem: what secrets does her cousin hold, and what dangerous mutant power does he wield?
The book pairs Gene Luen Yang with artist Michael YG for what Marvel describes as a "bombastic and life-altering journey of family, heart, and heartbreak." It's the kind of character-spotlight one-shot that has historically given long-running mutants room to operate outside the broader X-Men status quo — and Jubilee, who tends to orbit other people's stories, has rarely had this kind of solo platform.
Doom 2099, Doomed Earth, and a Buried Ultron Head
Doctor Doom's spell didn't just annihilate his enemies — it wiped out all life on Earth, leaving even him to regret the cost, in DOOM 2099: RAGE OF DOOM (2026) #1 by Frank Tieri and Jung-Geun Yoon. In the desolate future of DOOMED 2099, Doom discovers Ultron's buried head and risks everything to repair his time machine. Awakening a dangerously powerful machine intelligence, of course, invites new rebellion — and the path to redemption may demand a price even Doom never anticipated.
The Road to Armageddon: Captain America #10 and Wolverine: Weapons of Armageddon #3
Back in the present, the journey toward Armageddon marches on in Chip Zdarsky and Valerio Schiti's CAPTAIN AMERICA (2025) #10. A shocking betrayal leaves Captain America's S.H.I.E.L.D. team at odds — just in time for Doom's ultimate weapon to be dragged into the light. But it's not what anyone thought it was, and as an all-out feeding frenzy ignites between Salvation, Red Hulk, and S.H.I.E.L.D., it's up to Steve to get his hands on the weapon before it's too late.
Meanwhile, the penultimate chapter on the road to Armageddon ends with a bang in WOLVERINE: WEAPONS OF ARMAGEDDON (2026) #3 by Chip Zdarsky and Luca Maresca. The shadows of David Colton's past are collapsing over Wolverine. The high-risk hunt for the newest weapon comes to a head as all the players are on a crash course with each other. Armageddon is coming — and no one is ready. In the words of Nuke: give me a red.
Across the Cosmos: Planet She-Hulk and the Ultimates
Across the cosmos, the fallout from IMPERIAL continues in Stephanie Phillips and Emilio Laiso's PLANET SHE-HULK (2025) #6. She-Hulk has been trapped on Sakaar much longer than she'd planned and has gotten much more involved in the planet's politics than she'd ever dreamed. Will she take the throne to save the planet from itself, or will she be tossed back into the pits in disgrace?
Over in the new Ultimate Universe, Thor and Sif join the war on the Maker in the grand epic of ULTIMATES (2024) #23 by Deniz Camp and Stipan Morian. Thor's deal with Surtur finally comes to fruition this issue, and Marvel is highlighting the artwork as a particular standout — every page positioned as a masterpiece in its own right.

What This Means for Marvel Readers
This week is the calm before the Armageddon storm. With Wolverine: Weapons of Armageddon #3 billed as the "penultimate" chapter on the road to Marvel's next big crossover, readers who want to be caught up before the event proper should treat this Wednesday as a checkpoint. Captain America #10 and the Wolverine mini together set the table for who's holding which weapon — and which alliances are about to fracture.
Outside the event lane, Jubilee: Deadly Reunion #1 is the standout new launch, and Doom 2099: Rage of Doom gives fans of dystopian Marvel a fresh entry point into the rebooted 2099 corner of the line. As always, you can grab these comics at your local comic book shop — find one via ComicShopLocator.com — or read digitally on the Marvel Unlimited app on iOS and Android, which now boasts a catalog of 30,000+ comics spanning Marvel history.
