Alliance War Season 67: Onslaught and Okoye Hit the Elite Blacklist
Marvel Contest of Champions Alliance War Season 67 kicks off June 3, 2026, following a two-week Pre-Season that opens May 20. Kabam is running the Stone / Water Tactic for a second consecutive season and has refreshed the Blacklist across all three tiers — with Okoye banned from both Elite and Expert.

Marvel Contest of Champions Alliance War rolls into Season 67 this week, with Kabam locking in a second consecutive run of the Stone / Water Tactic and shaking up the Blacklist across every difficulty tier.
Season 67 Timeline
Kabam is giving alliances a full two-week ramp-up before the points season goes live. The Pre-Season opens this week, letting players test the refreshed Blacklist and rebuild defensive placements around the updated Whitelist before competitive play begins.
Key Dates
- Pre-Season 67 kicks off: Wednesday, May 20, 2026
- Season 67 kicks off: Wednesday, June 3, 2026
- Active Tactic: Stone / Water (second season running)
Why the Stone / Water Tactic Is Sticking Around
Running the same tactic two seasons in a row is unusual for Alliance War, but Kabam explicitly framed Season 67 as a data-gathering exercise. The Whitelist has also been refreshed to include Champions from both the previous release window and the latest patch, so players who have been ranking up Wave, Ghost Rider, and the rest of the recent roster will finally get to deploy them in War where it counts.
"This is the second season running the Stone / Water Tactic, giving us data of who will be put into the Blacklist for this season. The Whitelist has changed to include Champions from the previous release, and the current release so players can play with their newly acquired Champions."
Elite Tier Bans
The top tier loses two of the meta's most disruptive defenders for the season:
- Onslaught
- Okoye
Whitelist: Peni Parker, Captain America (Sam Wilson), Iron Man (Infamous), Lady Deathstrike, Howard the Duck, Spider-Slayer (J. Jonah Jameson), Ruby Thursday, Iron Man, Arcade, Sasquatch, The Destroyer, Man-Thing, Kindred, Mojo, Doctor Strange, America Chavez, Madelyne Pryor, Blade (Stellar-Forged), White Tiger, Spiral, Spider-Man (Pavitr Prabhakar), Black Panther (Civil War), Jabari Panther, Patriot, Baron Zemo, Korg, M’Baku, Doctor Bong, Attuma, Hit-Monkey, Bastion, Serpent, Ghost Rider, and Wave.
Expert Tier Bans
Expert swaps Onslaught for Mister Sinister while keeping Okoye sidelined:
- Mister Sinister
- Okoye

Challenger Tier Bans
Challenger draws the lightest ban list with a single Champion benched:
- Jack O Lantern

Jonah Jameson), Ruby Thursday, Iron Man, Arcade, Sasquatch, The Destroyer, Man-Thing, Kindred, Mojo, Doctor Strange, America Chavez, Madelyne Pryor, Blade (Stellar-Forged), White Tiger, Spiral, Spider-Man (Pavitr Prabhakar), Black Panther (Civil War), Jabari Panther, Patriot, Baron Zemo, Korg, M’Baku, Doctor Bong, Attuma, Hit-Monkey, Bastion, Ghost Rider, and Wave.
What This Means for Summoners
With Okoye banned from both Elite and Expert tiers, alliances that built their defensive placements around her will need to scramble — she has been one of the most consistent attack-into-defense pivots in recent metas. Onslaught's Elite ban also frees up a slot for emerging Champions who previously got skipped because they couldn't survive an Onslaught matchup.
The refreshed Whitelist is the real story for active alliances: with both the previous and current release Champions now eligible, the past month of pulls and rank-ups finally pays off in War. Kabam also teased "exciting plans" for Season 68, signaling that the Stone / Water experiment is winding down — expect a fresh Tactic and a reshuffled meta when the next changelog drops.
