Walt Disney World Lightning Lane Passes Explained: Multi, Single & Premier
Walt Disney World's Lightning Lane system lets guests plan shorter waits before they arrive through three options: Multi Pass (up to 3 experiences), Single Pass (one headliner attraction), and Premier Pass (one-time entry to every Lightning Lane in a park). Passes are bookable up to 21 days out via the My Disney Experience app.

Walt Disney World lets guests skip ahead and plan their must-do attractions before they ever arrive, thanks to its tiered Lightning Lane pass system. With three distinct options — Multi Pass, Single Pass, and Premier Pass — visitors can lock in shorter waits days in advance through the My Disney Experience app.

Lightning Lane Multi Pass
The Lightning Lane Multi Pass is the flexible, plan-ahead option. Guests choose up to 3 multi pass experiences and arrival windows in a theme park before they arrive. After enjoying the first experience, they may be able to add another (subject to availability), and those with Park Hopper benefits can select an experience in another park. The pass also unlocks photo perks, including digital downloads of select attraction photos and videos from the day.
Lightning Lane Single Pass

The Lightning Lane Single Pass covers one of the most in-demand attractions — the headliners not included with Multi Pass. Guests plan ahead by choosing an arrival window in advance for that marquee experience. Up to two Single Passes can be held for use on a single day.
Lightning Lane Premier Pass
The Lightning Lane Premier Pass is the all-in-one, top-tier option. It grants one-time entry to each available Lightning Lane experience in one park for one day — including the most in-demand attractions — with no need to schedule arrival windows. Guests simply ride what they want, when they want, and the Premier Pass also includes the same photo perks as Multi Pass.
How the Passes Work Together
On a single day (subject to availability), a guest could hold one Multi Pass (with up to three selections at once), one Premier Pass, and up to two Single Passes. Multi Pass and Single Pass(es) for the same day can be purchased in a single transaction, while a Premier Pass requires a separate transaction. After tapping in with a MagicBand, MagicBand+, Disney MagicMobile pass, or ticket card, guests use the My Disney Experience app to track and modify their selections throughout the day.

What This Means for Guests
For Walt Disney World visitors, the Lightning Lane tiers turn ride planning into a pre-trip task rather than an in-park scramble — letting guests reserve headliners days ahead and tailor each pass to how their group likes to tour. Keep in mind that passes are nonrefundable and nontransferable, and availability is never guaranteed, so it pays to plan early through the My Disney Experience app.
