Designing a Real Home Around an Animated Classic
The Parr House was conceived as a caricature of mid-century modern architecture — bold enough to tell an unmistakably Disney story while remaining stylistically cohesive within the broader Cotino community. "Our goal was to exaggerate that aesthetic in a way that told an overtly Disney story while still fitting stylistically within the community," said Caleb Wild, Walt Disney Imagineering Senior Architect.
From the impressive rockwork fireplace to the classic yellow laminate kitchen cabinets, Imagineers used direct inspiration from the animated home while designing a fully functional space for Artisan Club members to enjoy for events and stays. Imagineers pored over original Pixar concept art to source decorative props and special details, then collaborated with Pixar to produce accurate replicas that bring the film's world into three-dimensional reality.
Easter Eggs Room by Room

Cereal Boxes — Kitchen
Displayed on the kitchen shelf are boxes of Fiber O's and Sugar Bombs — the breakfast cereals eaten by the Parr family in the film. These prop reproductions look authentic enough to pass for real grocery items while serving as a charming wink to longtime Incredibles fans.

Parr Family Bulletin Board — Kitchen
Just outside the kitchen hangs a family bulletin board packed with details that paint a picture of the Parrs' daily lives. The calendar features handwritten entries for Dash's track meet, Jack-Jack's doctor appointment, and Bob and Helen's date night with Lucius and Honey — each written in either Bob's or Helen's handwriting, faithfully recreated through close study of both Incredibles films.
Below the calendar, a collection of themed memorabilia includes a flyer for The Happy Platter (the restaurant where Violet's unforgettable water mishap occurs), a postcard from the Safari Motel where the Parrs stayed after their house was destroyed by Syndrome, and another from Nomanisan Island where the family first battled Syndrome's bots.

"Mr. Incredible Sings" — Art Studio
The home's art studio — designed to celebrate Cotino's theme as a creative oasis — features a framed vinyl record titled "Mr. Incredible Sings," a prop that first appeared in the original film. The room is filled with custom art pieces and specially chosen wall coverings that reflect both Helen and Bob's distinct personalities.

Doozles are Dozing — Jack-Jack's Room
Visitors exploring the guest bedroom designated for Jack-Jack will find a copy of "Doozles are Dozing" — the children's book that famously put Bob to sleep during his attempts to help with bedtime throughout Incredibles 2. The prop lands in its natural home amid the youngest Parr's room.

New Math for Life — Dash's Room
Every parent who watched Bob's exasperated homework-help session in the original Incredibles will appreciate the placement of "New Math for Life" — Dash's textbook — in the second guest room. The prop captures one of the film's most relatable and comedic parenting moments. ("Math is math!")

Framed Magazine Covers — Auntie Edna's Room
The hallway just outside Edna's suite is lined with framed magazine covers that Edna Mode herself would definitely have chosen — all featuring her designs, her achievements, and her in a thoroughly flattering light. "For Edna, we ended up with these really great magazine covers we thought she would have framed," said Lorenzo Salazar, Walt Disney Imagineering Senior Interior Designer. "Of course ones that featured her, wrote an article about her and painted her in a fantastic light."
What This Means for Artisan Club Members
The Parr House represents a rare convergence of Disney storytelling and real-world architecture — a place where Incredibles fans can quite literally step into the world of their favorite super family. "I think all of our Disney touches throughout the Artisan Club, and especially the Parr House, really elevate the inspiration that I hope people will feel when they're at Cotino," Salazar noted.
