Inside the Puzzle Design of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
The designers behind Indiana Jones and the Great Circle reveal how they crafted brainteasers worthy of the iconic archaeologist, including the approach taken with The Order of Giants DLC.

How do you build a puzzle worthy of Indiana Jones? The team behind Indiana Jones and the Great Circle had to crack that question before they could build the game.
Getting Indy Right
"Getting the character right was essential," says Lucasfilm Games executive producer Craig Derrick. "From how he acts, responds, and sounds to how he moves through the world." Building that experience in a predominantly first-person perspective — where players truly step into Indy's shoes — was daunting at first. But once the team cracked it, the puzzles flowed naturally.
Raising the Bar with The Order of Giants
With the recent The Order of Giants DLC, designers took everything they learned from the base game and pushed further. Each puzzle had to feel like something Indiana Jones would actually encounter — grounded in history and archaeology, but wrapped in the kind of cinematic adventure the franchise is known for.
The result is a game that doesn't just let you play as Indy — it makes you think like him.
