Photo Tour: The Themed Stateroom Hallways of the Disney Wish
The Disney Wish introduced a first for Disney Cruise Line when it debuted in 2022: fully themed stateroom hallways, each deck immersed in a different Disney princess story through custom carpets, character lighting fixtures, and themed door hooks. Four distinct hallway themes — Cinderella/Frozen, Princess and the Frog/Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid/Moana, and Tangled — spread across Decks 2 through 13, turning the walk to your stateroom into an extension of the cruise's storytelling. A limited-time promotion offers the third and fourth guests in a stateroom 50% off on select sailings.

When the Disney Wish launched in 2022, it brought a first to Disney Cruise Line: stateroom hallways designed as fully themed environments, each deck styled around a Disney princess narrative through bespoke carpeting, character lighting, and story-specific door hooks the cruise line calls "Wish extenders." This photo tour covers all four hallway themes and the stateroom categories found on each deck.

A Tradition Reinvented: Wish Extenders Replace Fish Extenders
On the older Disney ships — Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, and Disney Fantasy — stateroom doors feature fish- and seahorse-shaped hooks that guests use to hang fabric pockets for the popular fan-led "fish extender" gift exchanges. The Disney Wish carries on this tradition with a twist: each hallway theme has its own themed door hook, now collectively nicknamed "Wish extenders."
Cinderella and Frozen Hallways — Decks 2, 6, and 7
The lower and mid-ship decks of the Disney Wish are dressed in soft icy blues with carpet patterns hiding Cinderella motifs — pumpkin silhouettes, vine swirls, and subtle snowflakes — that nod to both Cinderella's transformation scene and Frozen's Arendelle. Character artwork at stairways and elevator lobbies showcases scenes from both films.
Pumpkin Carriage Wish Extenders
The door hooks on Decks 2, 6, and 7 are cast in the shape of Cinderella's pumpkin carriage — a fitting courier for cruise-line notices and fish-extender pouches in these princess-themed corridors.
Cinderella Character Lighting
Custom ceiling fixtures throughout the Cinderella-and-Frozen deck corridors cast a soft magical glow, adding a further layer of immersion to the walk between stateroom and ship amenities.
Staterooms on Decks 2, 6, and 7
Frozen-themed staterooms feature a headboard mural of Elsa's ice palace above a snow-covered Arendelle landscape. Cinderella-themed rooms place the pumpkin carriage scene above the bed. Available stateroom types on these decks include:
- Standard Inside Stateroom (Category 11)
- Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom (Category 9)
- Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom (Category 8)
- Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah (Categories 5, 6, 7)
- Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah (Category 4)
Princess and the Frog and Sleeping Beauty Hallways — Decks 8 and 9
The mid-ship stateroom corridors shift into an enchanted forest-and-bayou palette. Twisted vines, thorned branches, water lilies, and bayou-inspired blooms wind through the carpet patterns, and artwork of Tiana and Aurora appears at each stair and elevator lobby. Staterooms behind these doors are styled to either Princess and the Frog or Sleeping Beauty.
Owl Wish Extenders
The door hooks on Decks 8 and 9 take the form of the friendly owl from Sleeping Beauty, perched above each room number.
Woodland Character Lighting
Leaf-and-fairy-light ceiling fixtures run through the Sleeping Beauty-themed hallways, scattering warm glimmers that evoke the enchanted forest from the film.
Staterooms on Decks 8 and 9
Princess and the Frog staterooms are styled with Tiana's bayou-adventure artwork and accent details. Sleeping Beauty rooms feature a headboard mural of Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather with woodland animals. Available stateroom types include:
- Standard Inside Stateroom (Category 11)
- Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom (Category 9)
- Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom (Category 8)
- Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah (Categories 5, 6, 7)
- Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah (Category 4)
- Concierge Family Oceanview Stateroom (Category 3)
The Little Mermaid and Moana Hallways — Decks 10 and 11
The upper stateroom decks bring the ocean indoors. Carpet on Decks 10 and 11 is vibrant with seaweed greens, coral pinks, and bubbly blues, with shells, bubbles, and wayfinding star motifs woven into the design. Silhouettes of Ariel and her iconic tail fin appear in the hallway lighting fixtures, and each walk to the stateroom carries the feel of descending into an underwater reef.
Nautilus Shell Wish Extenders
Door hooks on Decks 10 and 11 are shaped as stylized nautilus shells — a callback to the shell in which Ursula imprisoned Ariel's voice in The Little Mermaid.
Under-the-Sea Lighting
Ariel silhouettes swimming among coral and her tail fin peeking into the design frame the hallway fixtures on these decks, giving the corridor a distinctly dreamy underwater atmosphere.
Staterooms on Decks 10 and 11
The Little Mermaid staterooms feature a sweeping underwater-castle mural and a print of Ariel at play. Moana staterooms showcase a Te Fiti mural with ocean-spirit accents. Available stateroom types include:
- Standard Inside Stateroom (Category 11)
- Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah (Category 5)
- Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah (Category 4)
- Concierge Family Oceanview Stateroom (Category 3)
Tangled Hallways — Concierge Decks 12 and 13
The concierge decks of the Disney Wish are styled after Rapunzel's kingdom of Corona, with golden sun emblems, lantern motifs, and the Sundrop flower worked into carpet and wall design throughout. Silhouettes of Rapunzel releasing lanterns into the sky flicker in the corridor lighting. The two Sleeping Beauty-themed Royal Suites occupy Deck 12, while the Wish Tower Suite on Deck 13 carries a refined Moana theme despite its Tangled-decorated corridor.
Sun Wish Extenders
The gleaming Corona sun symbol marks each concierge stateroom door on Decks 12 and 13.
Lantern Lighting
Tiny floating lantern silhouettes drift through the concierge corridor ceiling fixtures, echoing the most iconic sequence from Tangled.
Concierge Staterooms on Decks 12 and 13
The Tangled-themed concierge staterooms offer a rich color palette, original headboard murals, and framed artwork inspired by Rapunzel's story. The Concierge 1-Bedroom Suite with Verandah includes a Pascal chameleon statue as an in-room detail. Available concierge categories include:
- Concierge Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah (Category 3)
- Concierge 1-Bedroom Suite with Verandah (Category 2)
Why the Hallways Matter When Booking
Choosing a stateroom on the Disney Wish effectively also means choosing a princess narrative for the length of the cruise — one that extends from the headboard mural behind the bed out through the corridor to the elevator lobby art. Families with a strong character preference can use the deck guide above to steer their booking. A current promotion offers the third and fourth guests in a stateroom 50% off the voyage fare on select sailings departing October 3, 2025 through March 30, 2026, applicable to the Magic, Wonder, Dream, Fantasy, and Wish (Categories 04A–11C; book by October 12, 2025).
