Disney Cruise Line Celebrates 25 Years with Silver Anniversary at Sea Events

Disney Cruise Line is marking its 25th anniversary with a wave of new entertainment, merchandise, and culinary experiences aboard all five ships during summer 2023 sailings. The Silver Anniversary at Sea celebration runs from May through September 2023, featuring new character looks, a signature song, and themed food and drinks. A brand-new Castaway Club membership tier, Pearl status, will also launch alongside the festivities.

Disney Cruise Line is turning 25, and the milestone comes with a fleet-wide celebration spanning every ship in its lineup. The Silver Anniversary at Sea festivities will run on select sailings from May through September 2023, introducing new character costumes, a signature song, themed dining, and exclusive merchandise across all five ships.

What's New for the 25th Anniversary

Disney Cruise Line first set sail in July 1998 when the Disney Magic made its maiden voyage. The Silver Anniversary at Sea celebration brings four signature additions to mark the occasion.

• New Looks for Captain Mickey and Captain Minnie: The duo will appear in redesigned ensembles featuring swirling ocean wave designs rendered in the celebration's signature color, Shimmering Seas.
• Brand-New Signature Song: A new melody created exclusively for the Silver Anniversary at Sea will debut during the celebration period.

Pearl Status: A New Top Tier for Loyal Guests

The anniversary also brings a new milestone for the Castaway Club, Disney Cruise Line's loyalty program. Guests who complete 25 Disney Cruise Line vacations will earn the new Pearl status, the highest tier in the program. Onboard and at-home benefits for Pearl members are expected to be announced in early 2023.

Where Each Ship Is Sailing in Summer 2023

All five ships in the fleet will offer Silver Anniversary at Sea programming, each on different itineraries:

• The Disney Magic departs from Miami from May 24 to Sept. 4, visiting the Bahamas and Caribbean, including Castaway Cay.
• The Disney Wonder sails Alaskan voyages from Vancouver, Canada from May 15 to Sept. 11, stopping in Juneau, Skagway, and Ketchikan.
• The Disney Dream sails transatlantic and European routes—including the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, and the Greek Isles—from May 7 to Sept. 17.
• The Disney Fantasy departs from Port Canaveral, Florida from May 6 to Sept. 2 to the Eastern and Western Caribbean, with stops at Castaway Cay.
• The Disney Wish sails from Port Canaveral to Nassau, Bahamas and Castaway Cay from May 1 to Sept. 8.
