Disney Cruise Line Unveils Summer 2024 Itineraries, Including Inaugural Lighthouse Point Sailings
Disney Cruise Line has announced its summer 2024 season, headlined by the debut of Lighthouse Point — a new private island destination in Eleuthera, The Bahamas — opening in June 2024. Inaugural Season at Lighthouse Point
The centerpiece of summer 2024 is Lighthouse Point, Disney Cruise Line's new private island experience on the Bahamian island of Eleuthera. Designed with sustainability and conservation as core principles, the retreat draws on the color and artistry of Bahamian culture. Families will be able to visit the destination beginning in June 2024 via the Disney Magic, sailing round-trip from Fort Lauderdale.
The most anticipated inaugural voyage is a seven-night cruise aboard the Disney Fantasy departing Port Canaveral on June 8, 2024. That itinerary features two separate stops at Lighthouse Point — the only summer 2024 sailing with that distinction — plus a day at Castaway Cay, Disney's established private island in The Bahamas. A three-night preview cruise on the Disney Magic departing Fort Lauderdale on June 6 will offer a limited-access first look before full operations begin.
Following the inaugural sailings, Lighthouse Point will appear on select three-, four-, and five-night Bahamas and Caribbean itineraries aboard the Disney Magic out of Fort Lauderdale. Five special sailings will include visits to both Lighthouse Point and Castaway Cay on the same voyage.
European Voyages Aboard the Disney Dream
The Disney Dream returns to Europe for summer 2024, covering the Mediterranean, Greek Isles, British Isles, Norwegian Fjords, and Iceland. Cruise lengths range from five to 12 nights, with the longest voyage including three days in Iceland and an overnight stay in Reykjavik.
The season introduces several new ports to the Disney Cruise Line network, including Valencia, Spain; Haugesund, Norway; and Hamburg, Germany. Three Mediterranean destinations absent from the itinerary calendar since 2014 also return: Catania, Italy; Kusadasi, Turkey; and Valletta, Malta. Mediterranean and Greek Isles sailings will depart from Barcelona and Civitavecchia (Rome).
Alaska Adventures on the Disney Wonder
The Disney Wonder will operate Alaska sailings from Vancouver, Canada, running from May through September 2024. Five-, seven-, and nine-night itineraries will call at iconic ports including Juneau, Skagway, and Ketchikan, with glacier viewing along the Stikine Icecap.
Bahamas and Caribbean Sailings from Florida
In addition to the Lighthouse Point season on the Disney Magic, the Disney Fantasy and Disney Wish will sail to The Bahamas and Caribbean throughout summer 2024. Both ships depart from Port Canaveral, and every itinerary includes a stop at Castaway Cay.
The Disney Wish will focus on three- and four-night Bahamian getaways, while the Disney Fantasy sails seven-night eastern and western Caribbean itineraries. One five-night Disney Fantasy voyage in July visits Nassau and features two Castaway Cay stops. A special 10-night southern Caribbean sailing will call at Lighthouse Point, Antigua, St. Lucia, Dominica, Tortola, and Castaway Cay.
