Inside the Disney Destiny: Everything Revealed Across Three Days of Announcements
Disney Cruise Line staged a three-day reveal event in late July and early August 2024, unveiling the full scope of the Disney Destiny -- its heroes-and-villains theme, new Marvel spaces, villain-themed lounges, a Lion King dining experience, and a confirmed itinerary sailing from Port Everglades beginning November 2025. The announcements introduced new venues including De Vil's piano lounge, Cask and Cannon, and Edna A La Mode Sweets, alongside a new AquaMouse storyline and the ship's first-ever Marvel stern sculpture.

Day one spotlighted hero-inspired dining and experiences; day two turned to Disney's most celebrated villains and rogue characters; and day three completed the picture with Marvel Universe spaces and returning guest favorites from sister ships. The Disney Destiny will sail from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida beginning November 2025.

Day Three: Marvel Takes the Disney Destiny
The final day of reveals was dedicated to Marvel, showcasing the Disney Destiny's new hero-and-villain-inspired spaces. The Grand Hall, inspired by Marvel Studios' Black Panther films, will serve as the ship's primary atrium -- a commanding space presided over by a statue of T'Challa, the Black Panther: King of Wakanda. Just off the Grand Hall, Saga (Decks 4 and 5) is a two-story venue hosting family activities by day and adult-exclusive entertainment by night, its architecture drawing from Wakanda.
For the first time in Disney Cruise Line history, a Marvel Super Hero will appear as the ship's signature stern character: Spider-Man and his Spider-Bots, depicted web-decorating the stern's ornate filigree.
The Sanctum, the ship's Doctor Strange-inspired cocktail lounge, will offer mystical artifacts, cocktails, spirits, and a circular mirror evoking the iconic window of Doctor Strange's New York Sanctum.
The Destiny Tower Suite -- a nearly 2,000-square-foot penthouse in the ship's forward funnel -- honors Iron Man with Tony Stark-styled finishes, an expansive two-story window, and capacity for eight guests. Concierge-level guests also gain access to an exclusive Concierge Lounge outfitted with Avengers artwork.
Two returning Marvel experiences complete day three: Worlds of Marvel dining, starring Rocket and Groot in a Guardians of the Galaxy-themed dinner show, and Marvel Super Hero Academy inside Disney's Oceaneer Club, where children ages 3 to 10 train alongside Avengers characters.
Day Two: The Villains Make Their Move
Day two introduced the ship's villain-inspired spaces -- the heart of the Disney Destiny's "Heroes and Villains" duality concept.
De Vil's, an adult-exclusive piano lounge named for Cruella de Vil of One Hundred and One Dalmatians, is styled in Cruella's signature red-black-and-white palette, anchored by a spotted piano at the center of the space. The lounge is positioned just off the Grand Hall and serves martinis, cocktails, and champagne.
Cask and Cannon is a Pirates of the Caribbean-themed pub, drawing from the beloved theme park attraction. The eclectic space is furnished with plundered treasures and serves an extensive menu of rare, specialty, and vintage rums alongside barrel-served brews. Live sporting events will also screen here.
The AquaMouse -- Disney Cruise Line's signature 760-foot water ride above the upper decks -- debuts an original storyline on the Disney Destiny called "Sing a Silly Song." Mickey and Minnie Mouse climb toward Villain Mountain and encounter classic Disney antagonists -- the Queen of Hearts, Scar, Chernabog, and others -- each overcome with a well-timed silly song rather than force.
Guests will encounter villain characters -- Maleficent, Dr. Facilier, Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook, Mr. Smee, Oogie Boogie, and the more ambiguous Captain Jack Sparrow, Bruno, and Loki -- through villain-themed events, dance parties, trivia nights, and interactive activities throughout the ship.
The Haunted Mansion Parlor -- debuting first on the Disney Treasure -- will appear aboard the Disney Destiny as well. The spirit-forward lounge invites guests to sip ghostly craft cocktails among 999 happy haunts, with legendary Haunted Mansion characters socializing in mysterious ways alongside a few new seafaring arrivals.
Day One: Heroes, Dining, and Staterooms
The reveal series opened with hero-inspired experiences. Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King is the centerpiece: a first-of-its-kind dining experience in which live musicians and storytellers perform a theatrical journey through The Lion King soundtrack using authentic African instruments and theatrical props. The show progresses through Circle of Life, Hakuna Matata, and a unique mashup of I Just Can't Wait to Be King and Be Prepared, telling Simba's full arc from cub to king across the course of the meal.
Edna A La Mode Sweets transforms Edna Mode's lab from Pixar's The Incredibles into a confectionary shop, with sewing equipment repurposed as sweet-making devices. The space offers handmade gelato, ice cream, cookies, and specialty treats, with sculptures of both Edna and Jack-Jack on display.
Two walk-up cafes flank the Grand Hall: Cafe Megara, drawing from Disney's Hercules in a "Greco disco" aesthetic, and Cafe Merida, inspired by Pixar's Brave with Celtic-centered design. Both serve coffee, tea, and specialty beverages.
Staterooms aboard the Disney Destiny will carry Disney Cruise Line's signature split-bath design, with many offering connecting-door options. Concierge guests will access an exclusive lounge and private sun deck; four royal suites will be themed to Hercules and The Incredibles.
Returning Guest Favorites
Alongside new venues, the Disney Destiny will carry popular programming from the Disney Wish and Disney Treasure. Entertainment returning to the Walt Disney Theatre includes Frozen, A Musical Spectacular and Disney Seas the Adventure. The deck party Pirate's Rockin' Parlay Party, Hero Zone, Disney Uncharted Adventure, and the Wonderland and Never Land Cinemas are all confirmed.
On the dining side, 1923, Palo Steakhouse, Enchante by Chef Arnaud Lallement, and The Rose return. Adult wellness is carried forward through Senses Spa, Senses Fitness, Untangled Salon, and Hook's Barbery.
The upper decks feature three themed districts: Mickey and Friends (seven pools, AquaMouse), a Toy Story water zone for young children, and Quiet Cove for adults. The full suite of youth clubs also returns: Disney's Oceaneer Club, It's a Small World Nursery, Edge for tweens, and Vibe for teens.
